Alienware Colors

Yes this is on topic.. because im going to play hl2 on an alienware

I think youre making a good choice. I got black , because it doesnt stand out too much , i liked the blue and the silver though. I also got the old case. Just got mine last wednesday , I love it.

BTW- Get the keyboard and mouse to match , its a nice touch (My keyboard isnt painted though :-/ they already come black , the blue keyboards look AWSOME though.

Cool, this is related to Half-Life 2 I guess because Half-Life 2 has aliens and Alienware is a company with "alien" in the name just like how Half-Life 2 has aliens.

Alienware isnt a ripoff.. they charge the same as dell if you order the same parts.. the cases are awesome.. have you even looked at one with your own eyes.. and not the computers?

I think the alienware predator cases are the ugliest mother****ers on earth. and yes i have seen feeled and smelled them. (my nephew has one.) i will never buy such a ugly case in my life. The old ones (chieftec) where way cooler.

Alienware charges the same as other manufactures. Build your own you pay with your time , you pay shipping , and you have no comprehensive warranty or tech support.

The new cases are totally prefrence , they do look pretty cool , but they are so big. If he likes it and you dont more power to him.

Sigh.. you have to order all the parts.. find good ones.. make sure they are compatable.. last time I built a computer it took way to long and the Mobo messed up something.. forgot which part >.<

Yea it really doesn't take that much time to seat everything and connect the cables. PLus dont you want to feel good about something you put so much money into*. THe time is taken up by the OS. But get good and its kinda fun todo on a sunday morning

IT doesnt take long at all. Just the time to search at the right places.

I bought an alienware, I got it like 3 days before christmsa and they had some kinda special. they were trying to run out of the stock for there new cases. I got one that would regularly cost like 2500+ , but i got it for 1700.

I thought the alienware cases looked good on the web site, but in real life it's cheap looking plastic (a family member got one), would have been awesome if it was aluminum or steel though, and for the price it should be.

AlienWares are ripoffs.
I like Frys better than online stores, i just bought a mobo and cpu combo(2.7 P4!!!) for only $189.99!!!!

It really doesn't take that long to put together a computer.If you had all the parts in front of you including case it would probally take 20 to 30 mins to build.(depending on knowledge of computers).I timed myself once at 12 mins.My hands were pretty scraped up tho.

I just don't see how it takes time to build a computer. For me i didn't really spend that much time doing research, becaue i read that stuff for fun serveral hours everyweek anyways.

The long part is installing window. That takes a good 45-75 minutes. It's relaxing though, as apose to useing windows, which is anything but.

When I get a flat the first thing I'm gonna do is have black and silver technology ( tv, dvd, video recorder, computer, monitor, mouse, keyboard, stereo etc, etc ) and dark wood furniture all on a wooden polished floor.

i made a pc 1.3x faster than a similiar ALIENWARE for literally half the price. NOt only that but it almost looks as good to. (just something for thought)

and i dind't make it, i got ABS to do it for me. (more brain food)


but if you insist on wasting cash i recommend you get the WHITE saucer setup with blue glow.
