you couldnt make that dual video card solution even with 5,000 dollars. supply and demand. alienware is the only one who makes it. :(

excellent point. except they dont have "that dual video card solution" until later, thusly its a ripoff. it would be a ripoff even then.

I bet when they get dual video card solution, they will add another $1000, and change name to X-ALX, for XTREME gamers.

Your mature.

Thank you very much, if i respected your opinion then this might mean something. I don't, though, so you're ideas about me don't affect me in any way whatsoever. If you really want to rely on "tech support" for $2000 then I would say that you have no common sense at all.

I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why anyone would buy Alienware.... Its just such a waste of money.

Does the machine really need a 650 watt power supply?
And i dont think the timing on the memory would be that great if its 550 mhz!
5000 for a machine that is going to be out of date in a year.
Why not spend 2500 on a computer now that has 80 percent the performance that the ALX does and then another 2500 a year or so latter when better parts come out?
And who needs an aluminim breafcase with an ALX keychain, and executive notepad and a personalized ID card. Why would i need an id card thats what my ****ing drivers license is for.
And private game servers. Half the money probably goes so alienware can pay people to play on those servers. Come on how many games are out there. How many people are going to buy an ALX. How many alienware employs are there? Do the math. Maybee you will have 3 people on the unreal server, 2 on the call of duty, 3 on the halo server, and whatever game is popular at the time. But you wont get very many people on at any given time.

I would never buy the ALX and I really could care less if my opinion mattered to you.

Am I the only person who thinks all Alienware cases look foul? (including the ALX) There are so many alternatives out there that look so much better.

And yes - Alienware are way too expensive. If you can't build your own pc, and have the cash, I can understand buying one (I hear their customer service is excellent - which it should be, considering you're paying 1000's of dollars for it :D). They are good rigs - just ridiculously overpriced.

I think they look awesome. I wish I could just buy a case from them. I still think that we should boycott their prices. Nobody buy an alienware until they give us decent prices eh?

what ever floats your boat.....

Too expensive? What do you expect to pay for a machine like that? I think it's rightly priced. If that's too expensive for ya, then look at their lower-end rigs.

You Sir are just a dumbass.

You know, retarded people don't know they're actually retarded...

0ops my bad, it's not "if"...it's supposed to be "is".

Even for the ppl that are unable to build a comp by themsleves (i.e. me) there are many other solutions that can dicrease the price about 1000$ from what I see on Alienware.

i.e. I bought a similar comp 2 years ago ( that I still use) for 2000$ that alienware sold for 3000$.

It was on a local store, with a more personalized "tech assistance" than any corporation can provide.
