all caps in photoshop?! wtf!! help please

alright, in photoshop cs, whenever i make a text box and type font, it is ALWAYS in all caps. every single font does this, and its rather annoying. please help?!

Have you tried the "Help" option?

i did. but to no avail. this problem dosent seem to happen with anyone else (shamrock's) photoshop. any ideas?

Hmm...I can't offer anything unfortunately. Have you tried the "Text"* drop-down menu?

*or something along those lines

I think i remember having this same problem and don't know if i figured out what to do. If you don't get your answer you could try a different area other than off-topic chat

It is the font you are using. Not all of them hae upper/lower case. Try switching fonts and see if that helps.

ive tried switching fonts, they all are stuck in caps. think a reinstall would fix it?

no DONT re-install just yet


look at your character/paragraph tab/window ...at the bottom there should be a row of "T"'s ...the third one is "TT" which stands for "all capitals" ..click that button and try again

Might be different from my version but open up a text box. Now nest to(on the left) the tick and circle with a line through it buttons there should be what looks like a folder with a few bullet points and lines on it. Click it
A box will open. On the bottom there will be a bunch of buttons with Ts on them. The third button from the left is for all caps.

stern, i thank you. i feel kinda silly because it was sometihng that easy, but it just never donned on me that clicking the tt would turn it off. i figured you were supposed to select another option. oh well. thank you everybody, my problem has been solved
