I got the DRM free CD install as a present for my girlfriend ages ago and installed it from that but later lost the save files. Now that I have the steam version I'll never loose them again! (unless I try to play on a Mac, going from Mac to PC or PC to Mac ****s up the save files just so everyone knows)

Also getting to make your own flag-carriers is a nice new feature.
