All these f**king spoiling betasites

The only bit that really spoiled the game for me was when I found out that the G-Man is Gordon Freeman's daddy. :farmer:
 
Oh I thought the G-man was Gordon's son from the future...
The leaked Beta is so raw that it's only getting annoying after a while and makes you want to play the full endversion of the game. Which will probably be a bit different because of the leakage/theft and the next-gen GPUs that are out now.

( I do NOT own the beta , however i did once play it, and there i heard some storyline talking in a certain map, and i want to know if this was what your talking about -- i deeply regret having played it, and will never do it again, with any game..the temptation was just too much)

If you call it a "hack" you should check the details. They got "hacked" wit a damn keylogger, got the password, logged in and downloaded it. Its silly and I hold Valve COMPLETELY responsible to the point where I think it was done purposely for publicity and/or to allow them to push the game back by a YEAR. I run a virus scan automatically every night and no one gives a rats ass about my computer or files, you would THINK they would do the same. They are complete idiots and dont be fooled by the great game, you can have a IQ of 200 with no common sense, ive met plenty of people like that (remember thr first guy who got kicked off The Aprentice? Smartest of them all with a million degrees but the first to get the BOOT!)

I find it funny how some people think they leaked the source code so they'd have an excuse to delay the game.

I'd like to say this in bold:

Valve didn't need an excuse to delay the game. It's something they can do without needed an excuse. It wasn't illegal to delay the game, they didn't need to be underhadn about it. Valve could just stop production on Half-Life 2 and THEY WOULD BE PERFECTLY WITHIN THEIR RIGHTS TO DO SO.

I just hope hl2 doesn't do a farcry, the whole a million monsters has been done way too many times.
An imaginative ending sequence would be nice for once.

I think you can count on innovative monsters in HL2... from what's been mentioned in this thread, screenshots, videos (hydra, anyone?) and our knowlege of valve... i think we'll be in for some wow moments.

NOW JUST RELEASE THE GAME!!!!!11!1

If you guys don't want to be spoiled i suggest not taking part in fan forums. You simply cannot predict when a random person will appear and start giving the names of characters you had no idea existed.
 
I too became curious one day and it was right after they said they were targeting a summer release. I got pissed off because HL2 seemed and still seems like it is never coming. So, I typed "HL2 Beta" in the images section of google. Luckily, I have a darn strong will power, so I stopped before I could see anything that would give it away.

I saw a picture of Alyx with her sidekick "Dog," I saw some antlions doing some things that I didn't know they could do, I saw pictures of the buggy from different angles, I saw many screens of the tech demo, and I saw a spare hazard suit laying around. I also saw a one new enemy which I will not spoil here.
 
I just dont give a shit, sept 30th let me down.. so now i wait for official info.. so maybe a little bit of excitement will hit me when the game comes out in june.
 
Can people stop quoting spoilers in quotes please. It's bad enough having to avoid Laz's post.

Rofl. Fan forums indeed are very dangerous places. Anyone could just BAM, and right there, you know what Gordons mom's name is! But luckily, these things rarely happen, and we have a special forum meant for that kind of stuff.

Wonder how many times I will replay HL2... I replayed HL like 5 times, and HL2 looks to be 5 times as good. And you could do special challenges, like beat it with only the manipulator! Or make sure none of your allies are killed! Ahhhh, it will be heaven.

what did you download man??????! ! or did you make it yourself.? its not like that atall, yours is obviously a special case, weither your operating it properly or its just a dodgy download.. i dont know :rolling:

I haven't even tried to download anything remotely close to the HL2 beta. I don't feel the need.
 
Everytime I get the urge to see something new from HL2, I just load up the painkiller demo and knock around some crates!
