has anyone got a clip of Alyx getting scared of the Stalker, man that sounds so funny but i can't get the game, my PCs not compatible with it
 
its not really funny..google it and you should be able to find it..

i guess some immature kids think its funny
 
It's the greatest emotional moment in Episode 1 and you dare to call it...funny?

no videos, but i got some screenshots, its really not a funny scene, but this picture makes u kinda laugh, looks like the stalker stopped what he was doing to look at the camera.... CHEESE!

God, looking back at those screenshots, it seems like the stalker is trying to touch Alyx' boob...

Very....revealing ^^, but pretty funny when the stalker is on you, i find them quite funny lol

Seriously, she does seem to be rather enjoying it in some of those caps.
 
Could Alyx's jeans get any tighter, btw? They must be sort of uncomfortable, and not particularly well-suited to lots of action.

Not really, i knowing, seeing and hearing that Alyx is complete distress and the Stalker seems to when to bite her face off lol
 
The first thing I thought when that happened was "The real reason why Alyx is scared of the stalker is because of their horriable breathe & really bad teeth!" So I thought 'Maybe I should give it some crest tooth paste, a nice electric tooth brush & some listerine.' maybe that would conquer her fears :p
 
Or maybe its because it wants to bite her face off lol

If alyx really had some compasion, she would have pumped a round in the stalkers head as soon as the lid opened. I know Id rathe be dead then stalkerfied...
 
I looked in GCF scape in EP1 & alyx says..."Im Sorry Gordon, I just can't face them. Every one of them was a person that resisted the Combine! I hope to god they don't remember who they where. They're Me!!!! If I ever let my guard down!"



She acts like the Rebels is like gang "For life" where they never leave...say the mafia, Bloods & crypts

Actually, if you listen to the commentary for that part, Valve says that they were originally going to make Alyx genuinely fear Stalkers, but found that it didn't work as it contradicts the fact that she had no trouble dealing with them just a while earlier. So they changed it to a feeling of sympathy and sadness. That dialog that Kamikazi found was probably recorded before they decided to edit her reaction.

So why is she terrified during the next scene? Well, being nearly crushed to death while a zombie-like thing is screaming in your face will traumatize anybody.
 
Well Freeman seemed to cope pretty well, he just launched the thing back at the wall ;)

Correct. I'm not afraid of dogs but if one jumps me and pins me down while biting at my neck I'd scream like a little girl to.
 
I originally thought that afterwulds when she says "hold on a second i have to catch my breath" that the stalker had done something strange to her to make her go a bit funny.

Tight jeans are actually very comfortable. More so than baggy ones. I know from experience

That was presisely the point I made when it first came up, one of Valve's input for this sex appeal on Alyx lol
 
First i wanna say HELLO to the other HL2 fans and the members of the forum. I am not going to waste precious space explaining how much i love this game e.t.c., because i really DO.

And Alyx became my favorite female game character after i played through EP1. And the reasons is, like you know, how Valve modelled her appearance. And it's not about sexy look, tight jeans or anything else like that. Not that i say it isn't done right - especialy the facial animations are so smooth and real, even if you had a closer look at her eyes you could see the light shining in them. Most of the time i was so obsessed while playing that i even forget that this is not real, and that pretty looking girl, having such a real human emotions fighting next to me is just an NPC. I didn't had such a joy while playing HL2 than while playing EP1.

I just hope Alyx will be available in EP2. I don't expect her to play such a main role like in EP1, but at least she shouldn't die in such a supid way...

Anyway...the part with the train crash was just another good moment where Valve show how they're able to create 'real' people from plain textures and sound. I hope most of you will agree with me :thumbs:
 
Me and a lot of people here do agree with you ;)

She is still alive in EP2, but like you said, we dont see her as much as in EP1, but apparantly she still plays a major role.
 
You know, that Stalker looks strangely familiar. Especially its mouth.

My first thoughts were "Hold on! I'm commin'!". I'm surprised how valve managed to create the whole athmosphere so realistic that i forgot it's just a game, and rushed to help Alyx, not caring for my own safety.

I was desperate to save her because I didn't want a screen saying something of the sort:
Mission Failed
Reason: Failure to secure crucial personnel or something.
