Alyx hanging from bridge

In the Half life 2 episode two trailer and on some screenshots from the game you can see Alyx hanging from a bridge
I was just wondering if this is just something from the trailer or if it actually happen in game?

This was an amazing thread....

Apparently they cut that scene because it didnt seem plausable that a strong heroen like Alyx would fall so easy off a bridge, it also gives Valve an oppurtunity to expand their new enemy and your feelings towards it. Oh yeh and the emotional bonding crap...

I almost like the bridge idea better than Alyx getting (almost) killed by the Hunter idea they ran with. They did not just have me romp around in an antlion nest to find something to revive 100 pounds of dead weight.

I really wish they gave us the option of leaving her behind.

Yeah the antlion nest pissed me off. But then the "next to me" line was so cute I was like "Aaawww." <8)

Or do you mean the advisors already in the level, I wana see what happens when you kill the Advisor in the barn before he does his scene.

Do you realize that even if you go ahead "leaving her behind" she will catch up anyway? How far she catches up depends on how far she was from the car when you went away.

I have never tried leaving her behind while going away in the car actually,
but how does she catch up with you? if you step out of the car and look around will she just be there again? :|

Na, she trys to run after you for a short time, then at the next loading point she is there in the car with you. A good place to see this is the first loading point of 'Riding Shotgun'
