She appreciates his concern for her and her father by coming after them and putting his life on the line for that cause. Theres a high degree of respect due to his skills, work with Eli in Black Mesa and helping them both through HL2. I wouldnt say love, but simply admiration.

I don't know about love. But she definately flirts with him and gives him the hints that she cares for him, and more than just for his safety. Its a crush, the beginning of affection. After all, he's another butt kicking scientist like she is, being raised by Eli and all. And she's probly been raised since the incident to see gordon as a heroic figure who stood up against all odds and won. what woman wouldnt' be attracted to that?

Gordon's 27. Still 27 in HL2 because of the whole time stasis thing. Alyx is probably 20-23.
