Hello,
I know this probably has come up in some previous post, although I will mention that I have done a search on this topic, and come up with no good results.
I did not see a Half Life 2 Xbox forum here, so, forgive me for asking my questions in this area. After finishing the long campaign of Half Life 2, I came to this conclusion:
It is Xbox Game of the Year. Hands down.
The last two levels were simply brilliant, making me feel better about the missing hydra, traptown and demo strider/city 17 demo levels. And the ending, which felt clever as well as cinematic.
That being said, I had a few questions about Alyx Vance. Her character's development was wonderfully done, and, on the last level, where she leans against the glass of the elevator door as I went to confront Doctor Breen, without her saying anything at all, seemed to confirm her love for Doctor Freeman.
1). My first question is about her mother, "Azian". I was unable to discern from the picture whether she was black or asian. She came off as being from Asia, but I wasn't entirely sure.
2). Here is a quote from Wikipedia.org: It would seem that Alyx manages to survive, however, since Valve has announced that she will be a significant character in the upcoming expansion pack Half-Life 2: Aftermath. The developers of the expansion pack have said that they wish to see Alyx "grow as a character"; this is somewhat confusing, given that Alyx was one of the most fully-developed characters from Half-Life 2. Rumors that Alyx will be a playable character in Aftermath have been firmly denied by Valve Software.
Wo, wait a second here. Does this mean that you'll (most likely) be playing as Gordon again? Or Barney? Does anyone have any sort of idea? I know this question seems like it would belong more so in the Aftermath forum, but I decided I'd ask anyway.
And, oh, I almost forgot. I'm benlen by the way. Nice site you have here.
