Alyx's Zombie Prank.

I tried to search for this, and couldn't find anything, so:

You know the thing on "Lowlife" where Alyx makes zombie noises to scare you, and when you look at her she says "gotcha"? Well, yesterday I was playing, and I wanted to make her do that joke again, but I couldn't figure out how. I thought you have to just turn off your flashlight in complete darkness with no enemies around, but I did that, and she wouldn't do it!
So, what do you have to do to get her to make that joke?

yeah I know, but the first time it happened to me, I was completely off-guard, not suspecting anything, and I've never heard or read anything about it before, so 1st. it scared the f*** outta me. 2nd, after Alyx sais "gotcha", i just stood there, staring at nothing, for like, a minute, because I couldn't believe that a video game character just made such a fu**ing amazing joke.

and i just wanted to relive the experience

Nope, it can happen pretty much anywhere in Lowlife. And if you don't react when she makes the noise, she just goes silent again.

I didn't hear her make a zombie noise at first, and only noticed when I replayed the past few seconds in my head, so when she said "gotcha" I was like "lul, wtf, bitch?"

2. Your flashlight must turn off by itself, aka no more batteries.

The actual thing never happened to me, but i once tried to make it happen. But in one portion of the game down in the tunnels with all those zombies and my flashlight was out, i heard the zombie noises, i turned to Alyx, she said nothing. And so i was pissed because it was an actual zombie.

sometimes when you press "E" when looking at her in lowlife, she says things like: "That smell can only mean zombies" and "what up with that smell?"

My opinion:
1. Area has to been completely dark
2. You must not be facing Alyx
3. The area must be empty of all enemys (excluding Barnicles I think)
4. In the Lowlife Chapter

Also, it usually happens to me around that area when you have to walk into the small room and activate the panel which opens the door leading to a stairway. It mainly happens when I go through the door into that small room.

For me it first happened before you go into the big, dark room at the end of the chapter, after the water-logged room.

Yep. You have to be in a dark, safe place and not looking at Alyx (not have her in your line of sight). Turn your flashlight off and she'll make the noise, but it's random.

Valve really wanted us to get into her character. I mean, she's even more of a help every episode, even if she can't carry a better weapon than that pistol.
