Am I the only one who thinks V : TM - B looks mediocre?

By the screenshots, the environments look bland and boring, although you cant see by only screenshots. Anyway, it looks merely ok to me.

I thought that at first, too. Try and stream the gamespot movies, they're awesome! You get to see the different characters, the combat mechanism. Once you see that, wou WILL want this game, I can guarantee it

What attracted me to this game is that it looked a lot like Deus Ex with Vampires from the screenshots and videos.

Also, don't get the trailers from the official site, get the ones hosted by Fileplanet or another gamesite, they're better.

yup, watch them all. And it reminded me of the original Deus Ex, too.
The combat system looks promising and action-packed. All the different clans with their own goals and choices. It's not your average RPG I guess, it's more than that.

First of all, in my opinion, ALL Hl2 screenshots look mediocre. Sorry people, HL2 just doesn't have the greatest graphics ever.

Second of all, Deus Ex graphics weren't great, but it still rocked.

Thirdly, if you see the game videos, you can see the beautiful style and humour put into the game. It looks, quite frankly, better than HL2.

Plus, any game with a black character named "Fat Larry with a F-A-T, cause I know I got a weight problem, but there's more of me to love" firggin rocks!

Well, since it's an RPG from the makers of fallout, I don't think they are concentrating so much on the graphics and art as much as the gameplay depth. Making a deep role-playing game is alot more taxing on time and people then a normal shooter.

So nobody should be surprised that bloodline's GFX aren't on par with HL2 (not to mention developement times must be severely different, they shouldn't even be compared). And nobody should really complain either, just because it's on source.

IIRC Interplay was responsible for Fallout.

Well, some of Troikas founders worked on Fallout, but the company itself didn't.
IIRC Interplay was responsible for Fallout.

It was black isle studios, a developer house internally at interplay. Fallout was pretty much the brainchild of Leonard Boyarski (sp?) and Tim Cain (and others of cource, but they're some of the most important) at BIS who ended up going off and creating troika (they're the CEOs of the developer house and the lead designers in their respective areas).

Anyways, my point was that, with a game like bloodlines, the graphics are the least important (Even though it's the most advanced graphics have ever been in a role-playing game). It's definately not what the game's all about, and it's definately not what they put most work into. It's probably the last thing. And again, it shouldn't be compared to HL2.

*gasp* Screw graphics in a role playing game. *gasp*.
