ambient sounds

mmmmk i have no friggin clue how to do this. i did do a search on the forums and on google and came up with ambient_generic. i used it to play a passing helicopter sound, but it only played once. the effect i want with this sound is to randomly play every so often from the outside of my building and at a random range of time intervals. i also came across env_soundscape, but it makes no sense to me. so yeah my desired effect is this helicopter noise, that randomly plays at a random range of specified time intervals, and is heard everywhere at a moderately low volume. This is my first time dealing with sound effects in hammer.
 
Use a logic_timer, with Use Random Time set to yes. You can specify a time range too.

well, no it isnt workin for me. set the outputs and stuff to my sound entity. however, ive found that i want to use quite a few sound effects all presented in different ways. is there like a tut floating around somewhere that helps you along with different kinds of sound effects?
