I dunno. 7900gt's are already pretty low. lol
They will lower the X2 cpus too. I think they want to squeese more out of them for now. Intel has not released their CPUs yet.

What I wish is GFX chip makers would watch their power consumption. CPUs at least have energy efficient models. I have a feeling the next gfx cards will use even more power though.

More AMD price drops to come?

"The memo also stated that AMD will not publicly announce the price cuts on its processor line until after the Conroe launch to avoid cannibalizing its current sales of AM2 CPUs." And the tech community know knows.

"65nm SOI AMD Athlon 64 Revision G processors are expected to ship this December."
Would be great to upgrade since they are speed bumps and hopefully low cost OCing.

This is great news for me when I upgrade early next year

Looks like AMD is going to have a budget dual core model.
X2 3600+
It will run at 2GHz (same as X2 3800+) with 512Kb L2 Cache (256Kb per core)

If they can't use all the cache on a regular X2 chip then it's an easy way for them to still sell the chips rather than dump it.
