If the Koran is anything like the bible then it would also having us believing that Jesus actually walked on water, turned water into wine, and feed the five thousand from a couple of fish and water. There are so many damn things that say when we die and how we die and why were here.
The fact is that I really just take it as complete bullshit now. Religion can be good, but it can also be the most deadly thing ever invented. It can cause people to travel hundreds of miles out of hatred twords another group to kill them.

It can cause millions upon millions of people slaughtered just because they believe something diffrent. It can cause people in he same room not to talk to eachother.

It can cause tons of deaths over one historical place.

I mean some people pick up on the religion from there parents. They stop searching for there...creator right then and there. While I would say I do not know how the universe was made. I do not know if where the only race in the universe. I do not know what is beyond a quark. I do not know how we were exactly made.
I would rather still be searching for those reasons, than to be presented a 1,000 reasons for each one and choose.

First off, let me say i'm not posting this to cause any flames. But let me say a few things.

The Koran... speaks of the US... which was borne MANY HUNDREDS of years after the formulation of the islam language? 'Riiiight'.

And THE PERSIANS. Which have comprised MUCH of what we now consider the middle east, and the ancestors of the majority of those who follow the teachings of the Koran. We're talking great atrocities of mankind here people... of slavery and cruelty etc to slaves that far surpasses without any sliver of a doubt the actions that the british and the americans etc have commited.

So forgive me, if I swallow this whole thing about a country that does not yet exist being predicted as the target of some devastating tsunami based on their infractions against humanity... when the fact is their slavery practices pale in comparisons to the ancient civilizations which predate christian and islamic cultures.

These weapons aren't for ethnic cleansing... these weapons are for mass destruction and a means of a deterence and. Yes, atomic bombs are an evil thing, but no country that owns them keeps them for 'ethnic cleansing'. And certainly not america. Christ, if they wanted to ethnically cleanse, we'd have to nuke ourselves as we are a very diverse nation when it comes to ethnicities.

I thought we stopped believing this stuff back in high school? The fact that you can take many sorts of informations and use them to fabricate some number that suits your interests. When I was young, I believed this stuff, to me it was neat, and I believed it could be true. But you know what it is? Its a custom tailored coincidence. Nothing more.

I will say again. I respect the Koran, and those who follow Islam as a religion of peace. But the people who interpret this stuff to manipulate the masses deserve no more respect or admiration than those who purposefully interpret the bible or other religious text to manipulate the masses of those followers. You guys are ALL too keen to jump and accuse those of manipulations in the name of Christianity and Judaism... but you are never the same people to do the same when it comes to any other religions.
