I'm thinking of applying to a couple places in Canada for work, but I dont know how it would work. I imagine there is some kind of work permit I need to get, but thats the extent of my knowledge. Does anyone have any experience or know what the process is to work abroad? And do I need to get something before I even apply to the job, or can I apply and then if theyre interested, go through the motions.

No. Don't ask Stern. He'll just say no, that you're not allowed in. As if his opinion actually mattered.

^This.

Most Canadian HL2.net members don't like the idea of more Americans moving in.

Don't expect a warm reception irl either if you do move to Canada.

lol, I don't care, I'll hate you if your a dick, I'll like you if your nice. I don't care where your from..

BUT WHEN YOU COME IN MY COUNTRY AND TEK MAH JEUB!

Its a rather specialized skill-oriented jeorb so its not like im a mexican and taking normal people's jeurbs.

Oh snap.

The easiest way to find out would be to call your local immigration authority, like I dunno, US/Canada Customs and Immigrations Office?

you'll like canada. it's a really nice country and doesn't afraid anything

Every time I've visited Canada, I've been awed by its beauty, and its been awed by mine.

We have a saying here in Canada, Raz.

"KILL IT WITH FIRE!"

All you need to work for most places is a Social Insurance number. Fake that, and you're good.
