An interesting fact

I believe in nothingness... But the ether idea would be cool :) I actually would not support anything until I either experience it or there is more scientific evidence.

Its up to you to think about it. But for me it all connects to one another. Did you know that human history itself is wrong? Evolution was wrong? And the dinosaurs didn't die millions of years ago? And Modern Science is digging ancient past to answer new age problems?

No I did not. And I suspect you don't know this either. If you want to tell me that the dinosaurs are fakes Im not buying it. As for human history and evolution being 'wrong' theres enough debate for you to say it is. But even then, you'd still be wrong.

Dinosaurs aren't fake its just their timeline for extinction is wrong, they discovered ancient drawings of the Ica indians riding animals that were resembling to be dinosaurs now how could they possibly know about them when they were already extinct. In ancient times these animals were called dragons. When this italian knight claimed to have killed a dragon they displayed it in some sort of museum which later was conluded to be a dinosaur. And Marco Polo's journey he wrote that the emperor was raising dragons to drag his carriage. And humanity's history for example the Summerian's discovery of pluto thousands of years before the known scientist claim to have. So goes to the ancient maps that were more detailed than the hundred year old ones. And if you don't believe me, then look it up.

everything the universe is built up on is constant movement, change, and changes of energy states, energy cant be destroyed it simply reverts to another form, physical matter is the same,, Death is taken far too seriously because of the human bodies natural base instinct to stay functional, to exist in the way it does physicially. Its just a mechanisim.. that you could say, keeps us locked in our physical reality, the mind dreams of so much more, in comparison our bodies seem like a prison in our physical realm, its what makes it seem so real to us.. but energy is omnipresent, subtle and physical, higher brain observation leads to the conclusion that there is no 'death' there is only energy we are simply a temporary configuration of that (life), Its almost as if the universe came up with a way to attempt to understand itself externally.

It's kind of ming-boggling like when you think about before the universe was created...was it just..? ARGGH I'm getting so confused just thinking about it

Not one person can say... where we go when we die, what happens to our souls, if will be reincarnated.

kinda looking forward to the answer, but i can wait ;)

Death? I'm an atheist. Death, to me, is simply the re-dispersion of the matter that makes up who I am back into the universe. So, you live on, in a way... but who you are ceases to exist.

So, naturally, I'm absolutely terrified of it at this point. I take solace in what Socrates said before he was killed, though; death is one of two things - the afterlife, which is better than earth, and thus good, or nothingness, which you will not know you are in, nor will you know you ever existed; eternal rest, which is also good.

I imagine heaven as a nothingness where you think aabout something and it will happen or you would get it.
Unfortunatly I don't believe in heaven.

When you die?
Well the molecules that make up your body stop working as an animal........then whatever, your body decomposes via bacteria, you are burnt and gas/soot is released.
As i have grown i have taken particles from the air and food e.t.c, if an animal eats my leg, it gains those nutrients.........thats how it works, the same if bacteria consume me.
I can't see there is any "soul" in a human, i mean at one point i was like 4 cells a little while after conception.....could i of had a "soul" then?......it certainly wouldn't have been within those 4 cells, when i die i dont expect to feel anything or go to heaven e.t.c........it concerns me deeply about my own mortality, and it is bad for an animal to think about it, i think the idea of afterlife makes up for the thought that humans hate to think about themselves, you have to be honest to yourself.

Anyway, it is up to you to believe anything you want, the only thing we can mostly agree with is the fact that we will die.

/me slowly backs away and calls the guys with the white jackets and says 'anomalous, we have a great coat with 8 arms for you!' :rolling:

well it works quite nicely both ways, if the energy that makes up our minds is engrained into what makes our physical reality, e.g what causes everything to be the way they are is also the main source behind our concious and subconcious mind, which seems likely, then we cant really become nothing.. we may join a superconcious that is the creator of the universe, hence we are part of 'god' as some may refer to it, so perhaps some kind of afterlife is possible, in an Etheric body maybe, like an energy blueprint. and if there really is nothing you wont care anyway! because there's nothing there to care or know if your not there because you cease to exist, so really, saying I wonder what nothingness is like is actually implying experiancing nothing, which is obsurd. so we should just wait for our answer , not worry about death and pain so much, and enjoy this facet of life to how we see fit.

the way i look at it it's just one of them things that's hard to understand :D. Really... what is the point of existence? why do some people argue the universe if finite? HOW can the universe end if it is everything?... I really hate them questions. They hurt my head. But i believe in the nothingness thingy. But then it's kinda hard to imagine nothingness, to me at least.

Its not a nice thought, but that is why i have the feeling a lot of humans have religion to "fill the space"
I dont see why religious people dont ask "why is god there?"
I was in heated discussion with someone on a forum one day and i was saying "why does god exist, who created him"
And i was just given the ignorant "because he does" and "because he is just there", all other points in the conversation were reasonable.

I do not believe there is a reason i exist, i exist because my parents bred.
It dosn't mean you should just go and kill yourself though (although you can do this if you wish), i hate the idea of reaching the end of my life because i want to experience more.......i "enjoy" some things and i may as well do them so i "enjoy myself"
