But it's ok to laugh at them because:
There's lots of them.
They're poorer than us and can't afford protection like kevlar.
They're dying.
They're foreign and don't look like us.
They're in a situation they have no control over.

It's NOT ok to laugh at this guy because:
It's just one poor guy.
He's using weaponary that must be protected by the constitution and by all citizens, lest the British attack.
He's made a mistake - it's not his fault he's an utter nob.
He's not dead - he has to deal with the consequences.
He's American.

I seriously could not have said it better myself :)

Not okay to laugh at either. One can't impress me with their humanity and their desire to change the word for the better, while at the same time laughing at the misfortunes of others. I would expect that person to laugh at the deaths and stuff in Iraq and the starvation in other countries just as much as those incidents.

Yes... i'm anal about it. I just don't laugh at the severe misfortunes of others, plainly put.

yes ..I'm not laughing at the fact he blew his hand off ..I'm laughing at the fact he thought squishing a bug with an explosive shell was a good idea ..it's like trying to light a cigarrette with a flame thrower
In that sense you are right.

Seriously, shrimp is good. Especially fresh shrimp. (points and laughs at everyone not near the Gulf of Mexico)
I saw a cloud that looked exactly like ashrimp today :O

Well maybe im an insensitive bastard, because I laughed my ass off. He was dumb enough to have a live round in a class room, let alone bang the primer on the desk, he learned a valuable lesson.

I personally would like to be the first person to say

That would`ve been just as stupid in my opinion.
Wait why?

I've had a depowdered .223 round for a keychain before, how is that stupid?

Yes but were you sure it was depowdered?

Did you just find it and not check, then proceed to take it into a classroom full of students, then attempt to hit something with it?

:|

Point is he did`nt make sure it was`nt live.

Yeah it was stupid because it was live.

But you posted that having a non-live round around as decor/paperweight/whatever is just as stupid. IMO it might be TACKY, but it's not stupid at all like that guy.

Owned. :D

aha then it's just deserts ..but the kharmic wheel would spin in the opposite direction because he killed a fly as well :O

Surely, as far as karma goes, killing a fly can't be THAT bad? I would've thought that, for killing a fly, you'd get a really itchy arse in an important meeting or something, not your hand blown off.

Also, say you were Earl - to atone for killing a fly, would you have to RAISE another fly in its place? And then would you have toraise one fly for every fly yo'd ever squashed ever?

ya but what if the fly was the reincarnation of jesus or mother theresa? ... :O

Then Buddhism was right, not Christianity and the two of them got pwned hardcore.
