If you were playing online you'd definitely be unable to play multiplayer. With a LAN it may be possible. Valve simply have said that you can install as many copies to as many computers as you like, but no two people can play the same copy of HL2 online at the same time. Or was it that it won't work on both MP or SP?

Hmm, playing on a lan doesn't require the internet connection to authentify the keys so you can probably install as many copies as you want on a lan. But I'm only guessing since this is how it works for the current Halflife.

ah yes the question of what you'll do when you get it well for me i'm gonna zoom to the store on the first saturday after release and then beat the crap outa anyone who's in my way while i'm looking for it and if and when i find it i will take it off the shelf very very carefully and then i will get out me "halflife 2 funds(rationed money for hl2)" and i will plow my way to the register. After i get home i'll put it in the tray and try to load it up and hope to god i get playable framerates.

I'll have to sit and think on what to do next.
either... buy the game first

(how I'm going to achieve the two at the same time is still a mystery. So I might have to go down the street here and prostitute myself for a nigh first)
... then when I get the two I'll be in another state of shock.
I like the earlier idea of getting a pizza (but it's not worth another night on the streets of Amsterdam)... if i have cash I'll probably get two or three pizza's
then it's install, gawk at manual, watch intro, fix settings, hazard course... and probably difficulty level medium.
