Anyone here watched Animatrix?

Personally I like the Second Renaissance episodes and Detective Story.

Watched it, some were amazing, others were only good. Pretty awesome christmas gift, anyway.

Got me thinking about life in general, and then I remembered I'm still a virgin.

I love it. Bought the soundtrack/dvd combo and both were stellar.

The sad part is, The Second Renaissance duo completely trumped Reloaded and Revolutions.

I loved the entire series though, it was all very stylish, and mostly thought-provoking.

Yes, I liked it a lot. I'm hoping the Wachowski's do a Vol. 2 or something along those lines.

I really enjoyed all 3 Matrix movies but didn't find the Animatrix any good for the most part. I liked a few episodes but the rest was meh.

I bought it with The Ultimate Matrix Collection. It owns.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Animatrix :) Far more than Reloaded and Revolutions, infact.

(What a complete disappointment these two movies were, especially after how awesome the orginal was. If you shut your eyes and try hard, you can pretend that The Matrix and the Animatrix are the only parts to the series - it's better that way :))

Unfortunately true

I agree with everyone in this thread.

Detective Story ftw.

I remember being pretty disappointed with it, except for that weird spaced out one about glitches in the matrix. I found that one to be better than the rest by an order of magnitude. 'Beyond', I think it was called.

The only one on it I didn't like was the one by the guy who did Aeon Flux... the rest were damn fine.

Came with Enter the Matrix. I think Enter the Matrix should have come with it! Horrible game. I didn't particularly like the one with the runner, World Record or something?

after many viewings i just watch the ones that i like visually, which is world record, kids story and programme.

detective story, kids story, world record, the second renaissance... shit, they were all awesome.

Noone else likes Beyond ;( I thought it ruled the rest.

Beyond, I can't remember which one that was.

OOOOH I remember now. Yes, that one was one of my favorites as well.

I own 'em, It's nice to watch em now and again as unlike every other thing to do with the matrix they actually resolve something. But I have to say that I didn't enjoy them as much as the films. so what if the last two wernt upto scratch, I still like watching big mech things blaze away on full auto and a little asian guy dressed in white kicking ass with a pair of FN Browning BDAs. And lets not forget the highlight of the entire series, the tommy gun in reloaded!

The Second Renaissances were amazing, though it still doesn't make sense to me that the humans would scorch the sky. :\

Anyway, what other features did the Ultimate Matrix bundle come with?

On sale...for $20...and you didn't buy it :|.

I liked the Detective Story, Kid's Story, and the one with the bugged house and the cat.

I loved all of them, very well done. My favorite was the one, where it takes place in like Japan or something, showcasing a glitch in the Matrix.

Loved all of them. Especially the Second Renaissance and Detective Story. Reading this thread makes me want to see them again.

that one was my favourite at first. i think everyone agreed matriculated sucks.

It's funny how Kid's Story was the only short movie that had a direct connection to the movies, since the kid was that annoying boy who followed Neo.

The 3Danimated part had something to do with Reloded, the letter she sent was the warning that they got in Matrix Reloaded ;)

The robots were solar powered.

Also, martriculated gets better after you watch it a few times to figure out what the heck is going on.

And trinity is in detective story.

They were all great! :)

Just the name: "The second renaissance".

sadly, the Animatrix is the least talked about in the Matrix series. :|

Yeah, but robots have the potential to use nuclear energy, fossill fuels, geothermal, and a large number of others to live. Humans actually are restricted to solar power. Though, I suppose we could buid artificial UV lights, and maybe heat the earth somehow, i dunno.

the 1st matrix owns all. To make it even better, pretend the sequels never happened.

We know nothing about the actual technology surrounding the robots, and there would be the problem with any of those technologies in distributing the power to the individual robots.
