when I first read that I thought "dear god somebody's finally killed her" ..but i was disappointed upon further reading ..but this is good enough:

It's important to make the distinction between respecting the right to free speech and liking it. I'll defend the right of a Neo-Nazi to speak their minds, but that won't keep me from thinking the bile they spew is any less disgusting.

Cutting Coulter from their journalism isn't stopping her from saying what she wants. This only indicates that the readers were tired of her crap. So what does any good editor-in-chief do? He cuts out her unwanted opinion column. There is no infringement on the first amendment here.
