I'm really likin' the idea of these frequent updates. I mean, why not? Most people these days have broadband. The infrastructure (steam) is in place. I'm glad to see that they're using it. :)

Yeah, I have to say I agree with you Methias.

Cheers for the info "Director Of parse error on line 1" :upstare:

I don't like these updates, I've got 56k at home!!

Although I prefer frequent small updates over big updates every few weeks, it doesn't hurt as much downloading those.

i just wish they'd enable bots.I enjoyed shooting them in CZ,and would like to be able to play against them in source like the warez users can!

I'm sure we'll see the bots in the near future. I think making the game stable is more important though.

the bots, skins and maps will be released with hl2 if valve have any sense...

Although i don't like CS...
never did and never will unless they add some kind of lean and some more stuff... I have been playing CS: Source just to play around with the Source engine :p

I really like the constant updates :)
I just love Steam!

Some people keep getting certain errors, which this patch fixes. The errors are pretty much CTD errors (I think) or errors which disconnect you from the current game.

Good patch, nice work VALVe.
:)

I thnk this will calm the lag down? Anyways ill go play right now to see if it did. :)

I hope they fix the bug that makes it so I don't suck so much at CS. It'd have to be a HUGE update though.

Agreed! The bug thats annoying me most is when everyone turns invisible though. Anyone else get that? I can see a load of weapons moving around the level, but no bodies!

Check your video card and its drivers, chances are that you are below minimum specs or your drivers are not up to date.

actually its a bug/exploit, doesn't do any harm, but it happens sometimes when ppl die or can be done on purpose.

this patch is same bullsh*t as before. Well ok, its good they figs the exploits but when the hell are going to fix the linux server issue?

I have noticed this happening to people's weapons every now and then. They just run around with their hands in the air holding nothing. And then suddenly a weapon magically pops up in their hands when they quickswitch.

well shyte, i'm still receiving that stupid exception error at "
1948fffde" the memory cannot be "read" at "38f3382A"..

ARRGH

My CSs went from working sweet to plain CRAP... all without doing ANYTHING to my computer.

- sound stuttering
- game crashing
- now the infamous memory leak

Trust me there is a lot of people out there who have this problem too . not just me,.

Actually, its kinda the opposite - I can see the weapons, but not the people. I'll post a screenshot if I can grab one tonight.

I have a 9800 and the latest drivers, plus I'm only running at 1024x768, so I'm assuming that it isn't a video-card problem, especially as it only happens intermittently. I've noticed it seems to be preceeded by a lot of lag and a number of people being dropped from the server. Its a bit confusing though - I don't see how a server problem could impact the client-side rendering process...

:/
