Chris and John from the "Promised Land" modification visited Valve Software. They took several pictures which you can see at their website. Also, there's some new information they've discovered. Here's a quick piece:
There are some new bink videos they showed us. They were trailers with collections of all footage from the E3's, etc, and a new promotional trailer. They all looked awesome. These will be released prior to HL2 and will be in publications at first, then will be available for download.
See it all on Promised Land's website, and comment on it in their thread here on halflife2.net

I dont see why another thread should be made on this. ;)

This one is in the News & Announcements section, which auto posts on the Front Page..

People should start resizing their digital photographs so their bandwidth (and mine) isnt raped. Not that im ungrateful for taking them in the first place :p

more movies of the same sh!t? you CANT be serious.
no one wants Movies, CERTAINLY not a remix of the E3 ones.

why the hell would they bother lol, just to piss off the masses?

What do you expect? The game won't be released early and there is no chance of a demo until after HL2 is released.

I would take new movies over nothing.

I would be extremely happy if they Binked the e3 2004 video!

I thought for a second that he got info about DoD:source...but it wasnt :(

The Bink movies truly showcase source's graphics tech. The sound, gameplay and atmosphere is notable in low res videos but to truly enjoy the eye candy, we need a 1024 x 768 bink. :)

Not bad report, I agree with others about jpg size. That will suck their bandwidth.
I'm supurised they were allowed to take high res versions of the cd template, meh.

bah, tis my bandwidth that is getting 'raped' and so far used over 500gb on these images so i would at least expect some better comments than the above, so when they go back to play test and take vids of hl2/cs:source perhaps i should just make them available to a select few....?
