The Islamic Militant Group Ansar Al-Sunnah announced it had commited an operation outside the Haditha area, surrounding a US Mortar unit and killing them all either by slitting throats, or outnumbering them and beating them.

The group according to the videos available on Ogrish, snuck up on the unit and jumped them. The marines fought and took down five Islamic Terrorists down before they themselves were killed. A ninth Prisoner has been taken -- news remains to be explained whats going to happen to him.

I can't explain further on the attrocities, but the videos can.

Videos are at Ogrish folks -- I've just lost more respect for any Insurgent force. They lack the morales and discipline their God commands -- this cannot be compared to anything the average American Soldier has done in the field.

{LINK REMOVED}

This marine has his ear cut off as a trophy for the extremist group.

New News:

New terror group, Brigades of Al-Imam Al-Hussein, shoot iraqi for collaboration with the US. Latifiya, Iraq.

This video is also at Ogrish.

they deserve nothing less than to be tortured for many years until they finally die from it... they will all rot in hell

.

Wait a minute , what did that just say?
killing them all either by beheading, knive attack, or butt-smacking
Butt-smacking? They killed them by butt-smacking?!
Thats gotta be against all the Geneva conventions , right?
Not to mention being downright humiliating.

SAJ, did you even see the video on the site? It's true -- and I did'nt say Butt-smacking was against the Geneva convention ... but since were on that issue of whats against it ... (Watch the videos!)

This is one of the first video that I've watched men get over-run, and still fight to a point.

Butt-smacking? They killed them by butt-smacking?!
Thats gotta be against all the Geneva conventions , right?

Strange on how you won't comment on the attrocities commited during the video (probably because you did'nt see the executions and how they maimed the bodies of those they took prisoner afterward) but find yourself joking about something pretty mild with comparison to what else went on.

I'm being honest as to how they were attacked and killed -- and the fact you say "humiliating" given of what I just got done watching in all three ambush/prisoner/execution videos boils my blood enough to feel sorry for you.

stuff like this makes me wanna sign up so i can help get rid of these f*ckers, they're murderers, not soldiers of any kind

Wow this must be really exciting for you,I know it is hard to believe but the beheading, torture and chopping off of ears you are talking about actually happened to somebodies son.

Your link is a real human being who had a family.

kind of get off on it do you ?

kind of get off on it do you ?

Not like you do ignoring the attrocities that have occured here for the sake of your own political agenda and childish taunts. But thats your own Apathy -- and its not my problem.

Excuse me...my political agenda? Where did you dig this up from?

Maybe you should lay out my political agenda so I can see it for myself.

As for my apathy, I'm not the one posting horrific photographs, you are.
If your definition of apathy is to be disgusted so be it I am guilty as charged.

Excuse me...my political agenda? Where did you dig this up from?

Your right -- getting this from your quote tab is'int enough to make the statement "agenda", but in summary, I don't fap to people who die.

I prefer them alive, healthy, and having fun. ;)

Maybe you should lay out my political agenda so I can see it for myself.

You know what? I can't -- excuse the comment.

As for my apathy, I'm not the one posting horrific photographs, you are.

I was just reporting what happened to our Prisoners of War. The Photographs are ment to show as proof such stories are capable of being true. The videos are even shockingly truer.

If your definition of apathy is to be disgusted so be it I am guilty as charged.

I too, am disgusted -- I was the only one who was disgusted in my family about the happenings at Abu-Gharib; I remain disgusted with war altogether. I'm still trying to understand it, but from what I gather ... killing people like this, is defined as attrocities.

I don't approve of them.

wtf is wrong with you? in all seriousness... why do you link to such a horrific site? wtf dont you realize some of the people here are minors? This isnt the first time kerberos. I've been sitting on a video of a marine shooting a wounded iraqi for over a year now ..it isnt graphic in the least but it still shows a person dying so I wont post it

have some respect for the dead ..especially since that site shows dead american citizens ..what if someone here recognised that person?

sure it's terrible if true but have you lost all humanity that for the sake of proving a tenuous point at best you resort to posting violent imagery of real people being killed? ffs sometimes I wonder what's wrong with the youth of today

Even though I've asked about this before, the last thing we need is gore and death on the forums.

I don't believe in it, so I voted no. People would take death and injury to area's its not supposed to be, and would exploit it in a way that I think would harm our community. Best not to have it in my opinion. Some people should'nt see death or extreme injuries to begin with.

Its unknown how excitable people are -- and we cant explain everything to a detail that everyone can get.

I'am against it

Looks like someones moral compass just flip-flopped.

but have you lost all humanity that for the sake of proving a tenuous point

No, I have'nt lost all my humanity, but I like you question the youth of today. In there own rebellious spurs, they've managed to glaze over war and death without a decent sense of what it really is. War and death, are'nt real to them.

What are my motives for posting such things? What are other people's motives for posting the Abu Gharib torture pictures? So others can know what they saw, and know that these things are happening and are not all right. We questioned ourselves for things like that, and I hope we question what we face for things like these. It seems that amungst the stubbourn of us, attrocities don't exist.

I posted because an attrocity has happened, and people need to know of it.

Looks like someones moral compass just flip-flopped.

That was me on a better day.

pictures of torture and pictures of dismembered corpses are 2 completely different things

I agree with stern that the link did not need to be posted. No one wants to see anyone dying, and if they do there is something really wrong with them. It is especially bad when you post our own troops dying, people we could know and people we can affiliate with.

I have reported this link; as yet it has not been severed.
Maybe Kerberos could edit his original post and get rid of it.

First of all why is this discussion on a half life 2 website? We should not comment on the war unless we have been there and seen the happenings there firsthand. Finally, anyone who thinks those soldiers deserved that and lives in the U.S. can go to hell or better yet go to any other country in the world, which in my opinion, is worse than hell.

it's the politics forum, we discuss politics. we have every right to discuss the war

I call for the death of all enemy Islamic extremists. It is time we began using their own tactics against them. The outdated Geneva Conventions are only a nail in the coffin for many of the brave servicemen and women lost in operations to this scum. It is time these pigs were made examples of. Their heads should line the pikes outside our forward operating bases and their bodies buried with pigs.

Shit....i think im gonna be sick :(
That's disturbed me

Wdit: Why the **** did i click it when it says you have to be 18?

Ogrish link removed; there is to be NO snuff, gore, torture or any related images such as ears being removed to be linked or posted here.

It is completely against the rules and is the epitomy of "inappropriate material."

Woah. This isn't the 13th Century. I agree that they should be fought tooth and nail, but using barbaric medieval tactics and throwing away things like the Geneva Convention is not the way to go about it. It only de-humanizes the soldiers, and really makes the troops look as bad as the extremists to the rest of the world. Crusader tactics really aren't needed, as this supposedly isn't the 10th Crusade.

Rakurai, your post contains nothing but hateful bigotry(as befits your fascist leanings I suppose).
Dont believe me? Try it with the teams switched........

barbarism for barbarism I guess

you have no one but yourself to blame (collectively) ..you shouldnt be in iraq. you should be looking at who put you there in the first place ..why isnt the bush admin taking any of the responsibility for this?

If my car's brakes dont work but I tell my wife they do, am I not responsible if something were to happen to her?

Rakurai, it's unfair to use this as an excuse for the Iraq war, or the use of barbaric tactica against suspected insurgents. Should we kill all dutch because one serial killer brutally killed an american. Besides most of the time you are not sure if someone is an insurgent, so this will be used a lot against innocent people. And innocent bystanders have been the gratest victim in any war, In WWII most dead were civies. Now I know that a lot of insurgent, even the ones who don't do these thing support it, but thats because they lived their whole lifes in shit, and that has made them hartless. Besides the US teached, and still teaches a lot of south americans in torture technieks, and is responbible for the training of a lot of South-American dictators. The US has commited far worse crimes than thses, should all the us citizens be killed that voted for the president who orderd that stuff.
Look, basucly thses insurgent are the conservative rightwingers of the middles east, if you would have been born there you would have probably fought against the us to, and the abu graib would probably made your blood boil so much you would have beheaded an US soldier.

Great idea:eek:

tell you what would be better, somebody should announce a "war on terror", bomb a country into the stone age, invade it, kill 20,000 innocent civilians, get hundreds of his own troops killed, get sucked into a bloody quagmire as the country lunges towards civil war and the stand back with a blank look on his face as the casualties and atrocities mount.

Opps, sorry, my mistake didn't some idiot do this already

Here is a quote from a fictional role-reversal scenario, something I had in mind when I ammended Rakurai`s post:
Americans, we tell ourselves, would never resort to that kind of terrorism--not even to free ourselves from occupation.

Wouldn't we?

Imagine America under the jackboot of, say, Icelandic occupation. At first many Americans are happy to see Bush arrested and put on trial, but it doesn't take long before we start to miss him. Promises of rapid rebuilding evaporate. Two years after saturation bombing has leveled Washington, Los Angeles, New York and other major cities, the rubble is overrun with rats and wild dogs. America's natural resources--coal, lumber, oil--are shipped back to Iceland without recompense. Unmarked checkpoints spring up everywhere, transforming a drive to the 7-11 to get water--faucets are dry--into a potentially lethal exercise. Icelandic troops conduct house raids to take away Americans' guns. Since there's no electricity for streetlights, the night belongs to gangs, who rape and hold women for ransom. There are no jobs, unless you count working for the hated police force of the puppet regime, the Unified Nordic Republic of Icelanderica. UNRI lackeys ride alongside Icelandic storm troopers to point out the homes of "terrorists," who are bagged, beaten and dragged off into the night, never to be seen again. Most of the victims are innocent civilians, of course, but the Icelandics don't speak English. They mistakenly trust their toadies, who use their authority to act on personal grudges.

ah Red Dawn ..the american psyche in celluloid form

This is the stupidest forum on this website
why did they put this on a half life website?

dont like it dont post in it ...simple as that

There are things professional soldiers don't do. As my good friend whom I consider a bro said to me, this isn't a war. There are things professional soldiers just don't do in a war This is a turf fight.

And he's right, these scum are worse than the most viscous gang members. You can't confine yourself to the geneva conventions when your enemy doesn't either. To give you an idea of how simply idiotic our rules are, in one scenario- you're not allowed to shoot enemy paratroopers until they land.

My take on this, I supported the Iraq mission because of the humanitarian aspect. Say what you will about "oh man oil controlling blah blah, etc" but I'm giving you my specific reason for supporting it. We're simply NOT taking the proper steps to properly complete the mission. Coalition forces focus is too narrow. Mission parameters: find and detain the group that has been detonating IEDs in this section of Mosul, etc etc. Our enemy's objectives are much wider and this is the problem and while we route them utterly and completely militarily in every engagement, it doesn't mean things are going right.

That said, complete mission Iraq and leave the middle east. An ultimatum to the enemy- we are now back home. Attack us, and the offending area will be utterly obliterated. This is your one chance to live.

Sorry, but this is completely unfitting. Yes, I am hateful to the enemy, but there is no bigotry anywhere in my post, even CptStern and others who often disagree with me but have civil debates can attest that that's not my bag. Perhaps you should learn something about what I believe and what Fascism is before you say something like that, too -"as befits your fascist leanings."

You can't apply the same to us, because we don't kidnap and behead political envoys. We don't videotape then murder TRUCK DRIVERS and HUMANITARIANS. Brining their level of fighting to them will make them realize they are in vain, and it will bring a new tactic into the fight that's not there to the extent it needs to be, FEAR.

There's much more than this that justifies it. Killing them cleanly brings them the same fate. However, the problem is, they don't serve as an example to the rest of their comrades. They're being shot and are a wasted life anyhow, you may as well put them to good use.

Grey Fox said:

No I did not say to kill the innocent.

Grey Fox said:

Well this is stated in direct conflict to an Iraq war veteran. You may not know who a triggerman to an IED is who slipped into a crowd, and such like that, you wouldn't be able to find them anyway. When you're being shot at from down the street, and you kill the insurgent and he's wearing a bandolier and holding an AK-47, yes you're pretty damn sure who it is. Our combat techniques need to move away from taking the first hit to strike.

No, if I saw a gang of Americans arrested in say Lebanon, as they had been pillaging, beheading civillians, and reaking chaos, and they were stacked in a naked pyramid, I'd probably have said they deserved worse. These scum deserve to pay the price for their crimes.

Wow, except the situation in Iraq is nothing like that. Cities have not been levelled, and most people taken into custody AREN'T innocent civillians.

no one gives a damn about your opinion cpy stern

I do. Wether he's right or wrong, a good tongue lashing from this man will whip some common sense into you. He ask's questions, and I enjoy reading from the answers made available to him.

Rakurai you make it sound as if there's no american soldiers accused of horrible dispicable crimes ...which isnt the case. Does it mean that all US soldiers are murdering scum? of course not ...this is a fringe element ...just like Timothy McVeigh is ...which I'm sure you'd agree doesnt represent all militia groups

thx kerberos ...I too enjoy hearing other people's opinions even though they almost always conflict with my own :E

It's something we have no control over now; only thing left to do is fight until we come home.
