1. Ep 3 will probably be about the same length as 1 and 2.

2. They said before that there would be an Ep 4 made by another studio, not sure if that's still the case, though.

3. They have said that they have a lot more HL story to explore, so there will be something, either episodic or a full game. I don't know where this idea that Ep 3 would be the end got started.

I heard that the Half life universe franchise wont be the end,and EP 3 is the end of this story arc,so expect to have questions answered,such as:
-Whos the Gman?
-Will Alyx and Gordon hook up?
-What about Lamar?
-How is it going to start now that it ended so abruptly?
-Will we be able to crowbar the Advisors?
-Where the hell is Barney?
-How will we start without weapons this time?

Gabe Newell has stated that EP4 will be done by a 3rd party Company. It was in a Video game Magazine last year and I believe someone e-mailed him about it and posted the response in the E-Mail thread.

Half-Life has already finished one story arc, in the original Half-Life, and yet they barely introduced him. I doubt the Gman will have answered any questions at all in Episode 3.

I think I read somewhere that Valve will continue Episodic releases, but I'm personally hoping for a whole game after Episode 3. New story arc, same source engine, but DX10 explored or something. Something new and innovative anyway.

Edit: And please turn CAPS off. It doesn't make it any more pleasurable to read.

Well, I believe there will be no "Episode Four" it will have other name. Because if it has other character it couldn't be just new episode, it must be new game like Half-Life 2: New View or else.
