Shocking story
Antec should be in some serious trouble for this disgusting behavior.
Im not one to really moan about companies or services unless they really do deserve a proverbial rocket up a cavity, and with some regret I now have to do such a thing. The company concerned is Antec, world famous for cases, PSU’s, fans and of course, a host of other computer related add ons. The main concern here is a case and what started out to be a simple review turned rapidly into a near fatality for me.

After reading that, the question beckons, did the PSU explode, or what?

But yeah, sounds like Antec hasn't handled the situation well at all. I hate large companies who have crappy custom service (and this goes beyond that)

....theres no point in being nice if a large company like that is not willing to rectify the issue.

I would have sued there ass after the first month.

erm, i think the story thing has been removed cos i cant find it :s

i think, page 5 or 6, of that forums, has the full story -without pictures nor names-

Sounds like the PSU was broken in a way which it put electricity through the case. On the other hand he might have had another part of the comp touching the case (ie. Motherboard). I doubt thats the case b/c I had a brother that a had a motherboard touching the case. It got fried and no one got shocked from the case. Took 12 hours to find out why the comp would not work.

Is it possible to get shocked from a piece of hardware other than the PSU touching the case?

He handled it badly by publishing crap online before it was all sorted out, imo. He should have filed a lawsuit right off the bat, been extrordinarily compensated, and then the story goes on cnn.com.
Antec PSs may then come with more safety leaflets, maybe a few extra plastic washers, and that's that.

Soak your hands in water, and grab a firm griphold on your motherboard and report back :)
