Anti-aliasing w/ 6800GT

When I try to change my anti-aliasing setting in-game, it seems to take effect (I hit apply an then it pauses for a few seconds to switch) but the image looks exactly the same. In other words, 6x looks just like no AA. Does anyone have ideas on how to fix this?

BTW I have a 6800 GT.

Yes I had the same problem with my 6800 GT. Two seconds ago I fixed it. Install Forceware 61.77 (the newer ones arent faster for HL2, only for 3dMark) and force AA with Rivatuner. Then it works.

Erm, or if you go Display>Settings>Advanced>(Your Card)>Then under Performance & Quality Settings make sure Anti-Aliasing is set to 'Applicatio n Preference' or you can force it to say 2x or 6x for any program.

Dammit, this really is bothering me. I've tried many things and cannot seem to get AA to work properly in-game. It looks like it's using about 2XAA, though when I change it anywhere from no AA to 6XAA, there is no difference whatsoever - it just looks like 2XAA.

Can anyone help me on this?

Thanks, I installed the new drives and everything seems to be fixed.
