Just watched this yesterday...anyone else seen it? I knew what was coming, but by god it was still brutal watching it. I would say read the Wiki synopsis if you haven't heard about it, but that would just spoil the fun of seeing it. Willem Dafoe putting on a good show as usual, specially when he's butt nekkid. A little slow getting going, but there's no reason not to finish watching this one.

after having watched the whole thing, all I can say is: what the ****? I don't know what to say about it. It's original, it's pretty terrifying, it's bizarre, it's nihilistic, it's DANISH!

I dunno how much I like it really.

I have heard about it, and I have read the synopsis. It sounds like absolute trash. A movie made to be brutal/disturbing/shocking, just for the hell of it. I wouldn't watch this sort of garbage even if I was payed to do it. /rant

While I'm reticent to make similar comments, I pretty much agree with Remus.

I know it's one thing to read a wikipedia article and another to actually watch the film. But I can't say I'm ever going to feel compelled to sit down and subject myself to something like this. I already tried that with Irreversible and I regret every second I saw of it.

I usually don't get excessively disturbed by movies but I had to turn this puppy off within about five minutes of starting it. I typically looove dark/disturbing movies, but flicks like this that go above-and-beyond to freak you out just sort of annoy me.

I saw it a few weeks back. I hear it get all kinds of praise from critics, but honestly, its not that good. It was just another art house flick. A really gory, messed up art house flick.

I enjoyed Lars von Trier's Dogville but this, this I couldn't watch to the end, not only for the excessive gore porn but because it didn't really go anywhere. If there was a genuine message Trier intended to convey here then please tell me what the f*ck it is.

The synopsis doesn't even scratch the iceberg. Hell, my roommate gave me a fairly meaty summary of the movie and it didn't even begin to prepare me for how disturbing and ****ed up it actually was.
