I was telling you where you could find it mate. No reason to get pissed. If you are really stuck, try the 3DS Max help, and search for 'slice modifier'

I just found the help file manually, opened it, and followed my new instruction & had no problems.

It's under parametric modifiers.
 
Yea found the tutorial a while ago to behonest but ive had one or two probs working the bloody thing.

Sussed it now though, LOL now ive got a fiew other problems with the tutorial.

all i want to do now is put a little lip on the front of the rifle houseing but good god its like pulling teeth..

well if you're looking for the "slice" tool, select the object, then under edit mesh/edit poly slecelt polygon and/or element, slect what you want to slice, look for "slice" on the right hand panel, adjust the gizmo, and hit "slice".



The 3ds Max help is a wonderful tool... use it :p

Also, to find it, look up the help on edit poly or whatever and read throguh that..... it'll help alot.

Just been messing around with the modle/Tutorial for a fiew hours and i got this far.

was going to post what i had done but the pic is to large :(

Bloody hell..
 
1. Select your object
2. Go into sub object mode ( Polygon )
3. Toggle the slice plane button
(you will be able to (move, rotate) the slice plane were you want to cut the polys...

4. When you are ready, press the "Slice" button.
5. New edges are created

been extreamley annoyed at trying to do something which looks realy easy gets to even the best of us m8 ;)

Besides when i had a fiew more beers the issue i was haveing with the model became realy easy to think about and solve :)
 
MINDA:

The Music Player at the Top is Winamp 3 lol.... Invicta skin (color theme: Contributed - Killu - Mmm.. Blu-Berry)

And yea this is my model. I modeled it like... 2 months ago and I wanted to do a test render with 3dsMax6. I think it looks good. The radiosity system is awesome in Max 5 and 6.
