Season one of the Wire was great but it wasn't as good as the West Wing IMO. Season two I couldn't get into but I'll be trying again at some point.

Season Two is generally looked upon as the worst, but with that said I think its emotional payoff in the penultimate episode is one of the better ones.

Season Three is when the show finally finds its feet and begins looking at some huge political questions while tackling much bigger, broader plots.

Season Four is the best season of anything on T.V.

I found the first half of season two really hard to get into at the time, simply because it seemed like such a massive shift from the first. At times I was wondering if this was the same show, but all I can say is stick with it. Originally I'd of ranked it as the "worst" season, but after watching the whole thing for a second time recently - I'd now put it just below season four as my favourite season.

The Wire. I can't even watch some shows anymore because The Wire has burned such a perfect mark into my brain, which is a bit annoying but what are you going to do? I know what I'm going to do: watch The Wire again for my 7th time and still continue to pick up on things I missed.

Also: Generation Kill, Homicide and The Corner.

I want David Simons babies.
