Any way to reduce the ****ING PAIN when shawing?

lol new vocabulary in hl2.net history, shawing.

The next time i go out il look for some electrical razors...but i want to TEST them first but thats impossible i guess *ripping up the package, shaving really fast in the store, putting it back, tapeing it together*

honestly, what on earth can you be doing wrong that makes it so painful?

1) Shaving cream. Keeps your skin moist. Shaving with razors and dry skin is very wrong.

2) Shave more often. If you let your hair grow out too much, then its going to be painful to shave it with a razor. Its a good idea to shave before and after you sleep when you first start shaving, because your skin is still sensitive and needs to get used to shaving. That way, your shaving short lengthed hairs and its easier.

3) If all else fails, electric razors are the key. Get a Braun self cleaning razor. They're great. Very fast, easy, and hassle free way to shave dry.

i find electric hurts far more than a wet shave. just suck it up.

I've actually never cut my face (cut my fingers about 10-15 times), but recently the skin irritation was getting really bad - especially when occasionally the irritation looks like a light small rash. NOT GOOD.

15 years old: Bic Razor: Piece of crap - it worked when I was 16 and shaving peach-fuzz once a month.
18 years old: Mach 3: Upgraded when I was 18. Still only saved once a week (yea, I know).
20 years old: Mach 3 Turbo: Finally to (almost) every day - AFTER I graduated college. (yea, I know, I know, I don't mind looking young) No irritation until around 21.5 years old.
23.5 years old: (4 months ago) Mach 3 Electric: Shaving every day, skin getting irritable, shaves not very complete.
1 months ago: Gillette Fusuion Electric: A little better, but still not getting close enough and tearing up my skin.
1 day ago: Have in, spend $150 and bought this . . .

Used it once, closest shave I've gotten since I had peach-fuzz. Skin irritation is MUCH lower & more even across the skin. Again I've only used it once & evidently skin irritation in about 3 weeks is much lower (skin needs to adapt).

I imagine you can get a much cheaper electric razor - just make sure someone gives you a good review of that razor first, because there are a lot of sucky ones out there. I'm sure people here can recommend some.

An electric razor can be very convenient. I used one when I first started to feel the need to shave, and I didn't switch to a regular razor until a year ago or so. One thing that I noticed immediately was that my skin was much less irritated by the Mach 3 Turbo, probably because I no longer mowed back and forth with the electric razor. I also enjoy the closer shave. The downside is that I have to buy shaving gel and new blades, but the monthly cost is worth it for me, and hardly noticeable.

I bought my electric razor for about 300 SEK; it's one of Philips' entry-level models. I've seen models go for as much as 3300 SEK, though. :D
I though you were a girl :/

Just a note, don't get the ****ing 5 blade mach face scraper. I got one for free and 5 blades is too many. It takes off your skin when you shave. They should make a law limiting razors to 3 blades and a trimmer on the back

Your face just cant handle five razors slicing across your skin! I have the fiver and i get no problem.
