Anyone else had the Yellow Water problem?

It just happened to me, only this week have i had this problem. The water is now yellow rather than the clear it is suppose to be and there is no transition from water to land, only a straight line. Has anyone else had this problem? and how has it been resolved? HL:s works fine and the water effects are perfect, not affected. Why is hl2 only affected?

Maybe you could try upgrading your gfxdriver, but most likely it's the games fault, my guess is that valve will realise a patch soon, a patch that fix things...

dude by the sound of it - it seems to be uniquely affecting you...
are you sure your computer's specs are up to the task
if you have emailed valve it is more than likely they will include a solution (unannounced usually) in a new update
but understand that 90% of the time it is a problem on your end (hardware, software setup) not with the game
have you reformatted in a while - it does a lot of good

yeah i know i sound alittle concerned, thats because i have checked everything and made sure the problem is not on my end, because i know i have made no changes whatsoever until hl2 changed on its own, meaning something in the change in steam has changed my hl2. Its just hard to play the game when i was so used to it playing nice and smooth with all the grpahics i have come to expect and now it ALL GOOOOONNNNNNNNNNEE!!!!!

Do you you have a backup of your system from before everything went wrong?? You could try that, maybe alittle boring to loose some files though.

Also, have you tried reinstalling hl2??

i tried that, i got 5.10 and yet no difference, im just waiting for an update for steam, valve have to get it right before aftermath comes out anyway.

Are you talking about the yellowish water in route canal?

My water is slightly yellow and I just noticed it the other day... I think that it's actually supposed to be that way, as it is unclean water...

If that's not what your talking about... Then I have no clue what to do...
