I only have the 2nd edition of the HL: Generations. The one without the HL1 t-shirt & without the biiig boxes But I got CS 1.0 for free with it if you can call it that.

the origonal HL box actually looks well good. when i get HL2 im definately getting the SE, coz if u get that u get CS:S free. the thing is i dont know if i can play it without subscribing to steam... damn monthly subscriptions i wannakillthemuthaferswhatthefucdotheytginktheyredoingmumblemumblemumblemuble....

Steam itself is free. It is the new multiplayer system for the half-life games. You only pay to get download content you would otherwise have to get from a store.

ye, i use steam all the time, but i thought that they might make it subscriber - only when HL2 is out or something (as it will be harder for valve to host it with all the new games), or make you pay monthly if you wanted to get the games updated.

but if subscribes just get all the retail games free, that is a big releif. i dont mind buying games in the shops but paying monthly is a big no-no.

btw does anyone have any links to a sit thattells you loads about valves' plans for steam?
