Anyone ever have to dump a girl who is still in love with you?

How do you deal with hurting somebody that much? This is terrible, i'm losing sleep over it, but I know it was the only thing to do in the situation.

I have, twice - It's tough as hell. You just have to accept that it's a part of life - It doesn't make it any easier, nothing will, but there's nothing you can do (other than stay in a relationship that you don't want to be in for one reason or another).

I'm all she has right now, i'm worried for her from a friends prespective, I love her as a friend (and that is it) so I hope to god she doesn't do anything to hurt herself.

But I have to find a way to stop being so worried, even if she has nobody to tell about all this and get help from, where as I have plenty of open minded friends to turn to. She is not that fortunate, and her friends are less..... well friendly.

Fo really though, wtf is she gonna do? Stop eating for a day at worst I betcha. Nobody is dumb enough to physically hurt themselves over "OMG ONLY PERSON I LOVED AND NOW THEY'RE GONE D: D: ".

I don't know honestly, I doubt she'd hurt herself but i've just had alot of family members and friends who have made suicide attempts, so I worry irrationally, I can't hepl it I get anxious easily :p
 
I've been on both sides of the coin. It's damn awful for both of you.
 
I did.

We stayed friends. Was darn akward for awhile, but it seems OK now. :)

I took the approch that I didn't think that our relationship was going to lead in marraige, and ended it that way, which allowed room for us to remain friends.

It's like chopping off a limb with gangrene.. it will hurt like ****.. but you gotta saw right through the bone, and cauterize that sucker; or else you'll die from the infection.

You pick how far you want to let it spread.

I once did and she stalked me for like 50 years until I killed her. By cockslapping. Actually, I just told her that she was really annoying and her clinginess was the reason I dumped her in the first place.

yeah it sucks, but breaking up with someone always sucks, no matter how you feel.

You should go overboard with dumping her. Like a proposal with a different message.


Example : Find a place that sells helicopter rides and tell her you're going on a tour. When you get get high enough, she'll realize that you've spelled out "It's over, bitch!" in dead dogs and cats. Then you push her out of the helicopter with your penis.
 
I've got to do exactly that tonight. Hopefully it doesn't end in goodbye sex or I will never get away

A less violent way of losing the chick is, in the heat of passion, to start screaming like a crazed animal and then run circles around the room flapping your arms before curling up in the foetal position and taking a shit on the carpet. If she starts saying stuff to you, ignore her. Pretend she doesn't exist.
