Aye I believe it was, and they then lost the rights to the source code when they were bought by Microsoft and whatever company it was they were bought from has never bothered to use the Oni rights. Which sucks in all the most completest of ways

It was a hard, cool but repetitive game. I enjoyed it a lot when I was younger.

I think i had it a few years ago, must have got rid of it though as my computer was pretty bad back then and incapable of running pacman let alone Oni ... Gonna keep an eye out for it again now

bah to you two. The fighting was great fun, and got more involved as you went through the game and learnt new moves. I honestly didn't consider the level design at one point while playing - I was having too much fun snapping necks and braking backs.

I thought Oni had tons of potential, that was totally squandered. There was simply no atmosphere to the game and the fighting, while awesome, didn't make up for that and the boring levels.

Urban Chaos by Mucky Foot had similar gameplay and was better in my opinion.

ya it is great i just started playing it again bc i found freespace behind my comp tower so i looked a little closer and i found like 3 old games behind it. but yeah someone needs to remake it.
