I think samon is, anyone else?

I'm worried as hell about how this will control on a console lol.

My friend is. He preordered or some shit. I can't stand playing fast FPSs on console. Bioshock and the like are fine, but games like TF2 aren't.

True, but it's all i got unless i enjoy playing games at 3 FPS on my current rig.

no way I would get this on my 360, my pc out perferms it in every aspect.

A game like this looks nigh impossible to play on the console.

It's pretty fast-paced, you'd have to be an expert at console FPSes to play it.

Like the HALO 2 players on X-box live?

Region Coded?

I will be buying Orange for the 360 for myself at home to play with my boys, and at least 10 boxed PC packages for the computer club students at my school.

There have been several impressions articles (Gamespot, Gamespy, and TeamXbox) written recently in which the controls for the 360 (not PS3) version are discussed. It is getting positive reviews.

While it?s more visually unique than any shooter we?ve ever seen before, Team Fortress 2?s controls will be a breeze to pick up. Right trigger fires your equipped weapon, the left trigger controls your secondary fire (not all weapons have this), and the bumpers switch between your character?s three weapons. Hitting Y will tell you the score, pressing X will allow you to taunt your foes (such a great feature), the B button is used for reloading, and A will make you jump. Finally, you can press the Back button at any time to change your class, something that will be immediate if you?re still in your spawn room, but won?t happen until you die on the battlefield. Finally, you can click the right stick in to call for a Medic. Actually, scream might be a better word?

I have a question/favor. Could someone tell me, or contact Valve (for those who sometimes have access to them) to find out whether or not Orange for the 360 is going to be region free, or whether it will have region coding for each area? I would be much obliged. I have a Japanese 360 (I live in Japan) and want to get Orange, but the only version that looks to be available at all, is the US version by import. I want to know if I will be able to play that on my J360.

Thanks!

Gamespy Impressions and Gamespot Clip

Here is the Gamespy impressions regarding the 360 version:

Without being obsequious, the game looks just about perfect. With teams struggling to hold each of the five control points on the map, no quantity of exploding bodies, shrieking rockets, or sniper fire seemed to slow the game for even a moment. Our own Gabe Graziani blazed through the match as a Scout, initially, and with no hiccups. Although we'll be doing a side-by-side at release between the PC and 360 versions, it's no exaggeration to say that the 360 version looked just as good as the PC demos we've seen running.

and about the controls

The 360 control scheme will be easy for any console fan to approach, with primary and secondary fire linked to the right and left triggers, weapon cycling set to the bumpers, jump set to A, and crouch set to L3 (that's clicking the left stick). The d-pad allows you to select weapons without cycling. More interestingly, the R3 button is a quick way to call for a medic, and the Y button brings up the scoreboard -- perfect for keeping track of your headhunting prowess. The X button brings the camera out to third-person for a class-based taunt gesture.

and here is a link to an edit of a larger Gamespot video. Great interview with great footage.

In the interview, the developer (sorry I don't know his name) mentions that there are 9 different taunts per character. Was that a mistake? Did he mean 1 taunt for each of the 9 characters, or are there actually 9x9 different taunts? If so, that would be FANTASTIC!

The controls will be just fine for anyone who can use a pad (which rules out quite alot of people ;)). I'm getting it on the pc in the hope it becomes a decent clan game and because most of the people I know who are getting TF2 are pc gamers. Otherwise I would be gettng it for the 360.

I would E-mail Doug Lombardi, he is the Director of Marketing.

I'll be picking it up for 360 since my PC isn't top of the line anymore. I want to experience the game at full graphics and get my achievement points while I'm at it.

While not going to buy it for the 360, I'm going to rent it for the heck of it.

I want it for the PC so I can make epic NPC Battles with the Hunter.

PS3 and 360 BABY ! SUPPORTING MY DUDES OVER AT VALVE!

I'm Sticking with my ATi Radeon 2600 HD 512mb.

But enough bragging, I might buy it for the 360 if I have any extra money.
