I'm into them, but they seem somewhat hard to come by where I am. Although I haven't really gone searching through Chinatown yet, so it's really my own fault.. I've got Jigoku, Men Behind the Sun, and Naked Blood. All are at the extreme end of the spectrum as far as gore goes. Naked Blood is fairly good. Interesting storyline and the gore is quite over the top. Men Behind the Sun is pretty cool for the gore, but the story would be far too disturbing for most. It's about the concentration camps the Japanese had for Chinese prisoners and the experiments they did on them. Extremely graphic to say the least. Jigoku I can't really remember too much about. It's been far too long since I last watched it.

Ringu lmao that movie was so damn funny me and my friend cracked jokes throughout that whole movie.

Ringu was freaky Much better than the Ring. Sadako was friggin... out of it creepy :|
Other than that I just saw Perfect Blue, not really horror more like a thriller, but it's pretty creepy, that weird chanting effect sends chills down my spine :| Whoo...

They put out a live-action version of that fairly recently... I haven't seen it, though. From what I understand, both the anime & the live action are based off of the same novel, so there's hope for the live action one, I think...

i didn't see it all the way through so i couldn't say for sure but wot i can say is that if you look at it this way....
ringu is made like a very creepy suspenseful independent film
phone is like the type of big hollywood horror film thats shitty and no time and effort was spent on anything but special effects and cheap thrills
thats why i've only seen half of it....cos i wasn't impressed
