Anyone playing HL to get ready for HL2

If HL:S gets unlocked over Steam prior to HL2 coming out, I'll probably play it, otherwise, it'll wait until after HL2. I don't see myself ever playing a game on the original HL engine again...unless DoD:S is still a while off.

No, never again. I've been through it so many times I know where each enemy pops out, I know the dialogue by heart, the map sequences. I'll just wait for HL² patiently

I'll do it a week before HL2 comes out, and then probably never play it again on the HL engine. In fact, the only HL engine game I will still play will be TFC.

im on the part with the nukes and all those trip mines
i just got past that part and now im where that tank pops out
i dun have any rpg rounds, does anyone know how to defeat the tank with any other gun?

I'm playing through it right now. It is on hard and I'm in the xen factory thingy. I should be done soon then it's on to Opposing forces (which I never finished) and then Blue Shift (which I have never played).

EDIT : I have beaten HL1 a few times before though.... this isn't my first time.

If I am thinking of the same part you are, you don't have to kill the tank. Just run past it.

but if i do and get past it, i have only one health left
and i just read that you can use the guass cannon/gun
a few charged shots should do it
