Anyone still play Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory?

Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory is 4 years old today! :cheers:

Used to play this ALL the time and have recently got addicted to it again.

Its simply the most fun multiplayer fps I've ever played. The animations are brilliant, the sounds hilarious (especially with modded voices) and it just plays and feels so right.

Anyone still play this classic? :thumbs:
 
I've got it on my computer somewhere. Maybe I'd pick it up if somebody wanted to teach me the ropes.
 
It's still installed, haven't played in weeks.
Just haven't had the time.
 
I havent played since the release of hl2 ...what's the current patch version?
 
I used to play it alot, and I agree the sounds were fantastic.

It was comical but really fast paced action. How many people still play?

I saw thousands of players last I checked the server list.
 
heard the new wolfenstein game is going to use the brand new doom 3 engine with soft shadows ect. ect. is this true? i am quite sure i read it somewhere..

Yes theres a few thousand servers still very healthy.

The only thing that does let it down imo is Mortar spamming - it ruins maps like Goldrush and Big Gun when Axis can barely get out of spawn without being blown to bits.
 
According to Xfire its still the 6th most popular online game in minutes played by Xfire users over the past week.

So yeah, I'm pretty sure that some people still play it.

I always thought gold rush was a little one sided in favour of the axis ..I mean so long as you rtook out the mortar guys you could easily trap the allies in their spawn area and dominate the round ..you have a point with Big guns (I'm assuming you mean Seawall Battery) however nothing a wellplaced rocket launcher attack wont fix ...allies rarely won that map on a good teamplay server

That's why i've always prefered stopwatch servers - it's all about taking the other team down fast :)

Now, back to Quake Wars beta ;)
