aol im problem

my aol "gay-ol" im always freezes and turns white..i ahve no idea why, and its very annoying because i cant just ctrl alt delete and end it, ive tried reinstalling it but it didnt work...ive also tried gaim but i dont like that as much...any help?

Are you on dial up or are you using broadband AOL?
Not sure about AOL but I know AIM generally shows ads above the list that can really bother me and use some resources. :|

I'm not sure which it is but some ads use either flash or java which may be an issue with your setup. You could reinstall macromedia flash or the java plugin you are using.

Or just try something like Trillian.
