Apple introduces mini-iPods

Listening to the discontent of those who not willing to shell out $300 for 15 GB's can now at least consider this.
The mini-iPod is about the size of a cellphone, with its buttons UNDER the wheel. Containing only 4 GB's (1,000 songs). Price is $249.

My Opinion: Cute, but still way too expensive, and for only 4 GB's, it's not worth it. It might be for someone who doesn't have 30 GB's of songs, but there are cheaper models out there with more disk space.
One other thing: How long does THIS battery last?

I got a Sony NetMD mini-disc player. Plenty of room on that for me. 5 hours of music on one disc with LP4 compression. Comes with Sony SonicStage as well to quickly transfer and edit MDs.

Sony Net MD $100 , best money Ive spent in a long time. Not buying an overpriced and cliche Ipod: priceless.

I mean it's literally like an MP3 player anyway. Ok you can hold less and you need to have a disc in to listen to music but it's essentially the same.

Same quality, same speed etc.
