I'm looking for a decent Apple Mac, either a retro one (circa 16mhz.. can't remember the OS) or a G3 generation-based Mac :)

Dirt cheap please, best deal I found was one on eBay, a MiniTower G3, 450mhz, 1mb cache.. but it's slightly scratched..

;(

Can anyone help/point me in the right direction..

I'd have to say in my experience ebay is the best place to buy a mac, that or if you know a local school is upgrading their systems, but most of those places use PCs now.

ahh macs *stares into deep space* doesnt everyone have atleast one friend who recons macs are the almighty and rule any pc.

but anyway, back to the point, yeh i think ebay is the best place for cheap old macs.

That's a contradiction in terms.

There's nothing wrong with Apple computers...

...Once you format and install Linux. :sniper: :imu:

You might also check thrift stores, or things like Salvation Army outlets. People also like to donate their old computers to charities (which sell them off again...). Of course the ethical considerations here are entirely your own problem. :p

the old macs at my elementary school were awesome. they had where in the world is carmen sandiego :D :D :D

oregon trail and odell lake ...and the "muncher" series

No, the case is half of it. Plus I was really wanting to get back on a nice Mac after all these years ;(

I remember ClarisWorks! :E

We had one of those macs in my elementary school.

Badger, any chance you'd want an old Mac laptop? I have a PowerBook 160 that I've been meaning to sell off for quite some time

I find macs are only good for music/video applications, any other application a pc is reign champion.
