Are there any mods that have made changes to the resistance fighters

Are there any mods that have made changes to the resistance fighters In terms of AI and health etc because I enjoyed half life 2 but the levels with the resistance fighters were a letdown because of their poor AI for example resistance fighters stands in front of a firing sentry gun shouting 'I'm hit I'm hit' and not moving out of the way. I also felt that they kept dying every five seconds while abother would just pop out of nowhere. So are there mods to download that can get of these flaws
