Here is a link to the picture, are those red cables SATA?

This is an A8N-SLI Deluxe card, and I am wondering if my hard drive, CD drive and floppy drive are all compatible with it. Here are the links to those drives:

Also I'm guessing that my motherboard has no IDE ports?

Looks like all your existing kit will work, that mobo has 2 ide channels from teh picture you posted.

ok, so I'm assuming that those red cables are in fact SATA cables.

Is the floppy drive SATA compatible? the other two drives have SATA in their name, and say that they are SATA drives but the floppy says nothing.

The floppy disc drive will be IDE I would imagine
God no.

Floppy discs aren't SATA or IDE - those are hard drive/optical drive interfaces. Floppy drives are from floppy ports - that mobo will have one.
:)

Heh yeh lol, goto have a laugh at people like me sometimes!

It's just I remember when I was like that - I was worse :D I always used to put floppy cables in upside down :upstare:

;(

that A8N-SLI Deluxe board is a great motherboard, it's the one being tested with the dual core AMD 4800+ CPU on tomshardware.com Also as you can see in my sig, I'm using that motherboard with some other high end hardware :D. I will be getting this dual core 4800+ when it comes out and I'll do SLI when the next gen of nvidia cards come out.

Gweedodogg, I wish I had as much money as you, cos you can afford all that kit :( Should be a beast of a system if you do get what you said :p
