The article's a few months old, plus I think Xbitlabs have 'benchmarked' the Half-Life 2 leak before.

from what i have read and been told the 256 version runs slower then 128mb version of the XT range. I think this was because the clock speed of the memory was at around 500mhz compared with normal 650mhz on the 128 cards. So yer before buying ur card research what i have said cause u will prob see a difference.

why would you buy a 9600-9800xt card right now?

the new gen is right around the corner, just wait and buy a new card ..or save yourself some money on a 9800xt.
