Are we the only ones that want half-life 2??

i was looking though gamefaqs.com and on they front page they had a poll on wether your going to get half life2

i votes yes on steam and was assuming many people were going to go get it

but when i saw the results like 40 percent were not interested in getting the game and 18 percent said their comp wont run it

17 percent said yes on self and 6 percent off steam....weird

most of the people on gamefaqs/gamefaqs forums dont have pc's, and those that do have well old pc's that wont be able to run it.

theyre all xboxers and ps2ers over there, take no notice.

Anyway, people just do polls like that without thinking. That's why they're pointless. I wouldn't be suprised if most of them didn't know the required spec but just assumed that since it's a new game...

Someone has to issue the help. Gamefaqs is heavily console though, so you shouldn't be too surprised by the results.

I bet if you ran a poll on this site, the numbers would be quite different.

Point being, polls on individual sites are useless because they are only seen by a limited group of people with specific interests. If there was a way to tabulate the results of cross-site polling then the results might be more meaningful.

Well, when(?) it comes out for X-Box, I'm sure the x-boxers will buy it if they like it. Like a friend I have, his computer is too crappy to run HL2 so he's gonna get it on X-Box.

gamefaq is mainly a console site so.. naturally the response won't be as great as pc sites. Now.. create the same poll in pc message boards and sites and the response would be a LOT better.

Even so, the gamefaq survey is fairly high if you think about it.

Yeah, like everyone else said Gamefaqs is a console site. The polls there are always screwed up anyway. The expected winner never comes out on top unless it's related to FF7 =P.
