I still need to add a stick of 256MB of RAM and I will be all set. :E

Bought an Aopen Aeolus 6800GT this morning. Have been searching around for months for a Leadtek 6800GT to no avail. Had to have a 6800GT before tuesday so I cracked and bought an Aopen. Not the best brand, but it'll do the job... I guess..

Im prepared. All the upgrades I had to do for even a considerable performance I did last summer, so now I have A2000+, 512mb RAM, and the not-so-new-anymore Radeon 9600XT (I had a integrated before this ). Today I just moved Steam to anohter hard drive to ensure HL2 + mods have enough space. I learned to respect the good sides of Steam, the whole process took like 10minutes, from pressing "uninstall"-button to "preparing to play Counter-Strike".
Also cleaned up registry, defragged, checked for viruses and mal/spyware, bought a large stock of coke and Pringles
Were good to go.

I would have liked to get a better video card, but it will be OK with what it has, and this close to X-mas, I cannot spend cash on myself in that amount. Oh well.

have 512 ddr,1.8GHz 2500+(only major problem) and an OC'd 6800GT...

unfortunately my MoBo only supports up to a 2800+...

and I don't think that is gonna do the job...oh well I only need about $300-$400 to get what I want

well maybe less through newegg..but the wait for the parts would drive me nuts
