Are you allowed to...?

My methods keep me out of trouble.
I avoid getting myself in a threatening situation.

If i am forced to defend myself i will however.
I have never been in a confrontation with another person because of my methods.

You are not allowed to kill in self defense in america, because depending on the lawyer there is great risk of being charged for murder (come on, we can sue for coffee being too hot, you know i'm right). Self defense is suppose to incapasitate, like wrestling (high school or college style, not WWF)

The epitome of geekness.

OMG wtf if some1 is a threat I HS them with my AK

If they were trying to resist them in other non-physical ways, self defence is legal I believe.

In the US it entirely depends on the circumstances. People have been convicted when trying to defend themselves. You don't have to kill someone while defending yourself to get prosecuted.

I know someone who was attacked by one other person in a busy parking lot. After a slight struggle the person I knew managed to get the other guy on the ground. He kicked him directly in the eye socket and broke the guy's orbital around his eye. He was convicted. It was self defense, no death involved but because he had him on the ground and the struggle was coming to an end when the kick occured, he got in lots of trouble.

I'll have to try to find out from his brother the exact penalty. I do know that was the first mark on his record. I think he got 30 days in the hole along with a fine in the thousands of dollars and a significant amount of probation.
