Are you an 'introvert'?

Nah, most INRI's suffer God Complexes.

Yah I am; but with friends I am extroverted very much. I've been getting more extroverted these past few years.

I'm a deep thinker but I can have a good time too :smoking:

I am social and hang out with friends but hate it when I am with them too long. Yeah...it is tiring when people simply don't shutup especially when your deep in though such as in a car ride. That happens a lot to me and annoys me a lot.

I'm an introvert, but that doesn't mean I can't function in public. I just spend a lot of time thinking, think everything through, etc.

They are rather rare, comprising no more than, say, one percent of the population. Being very judicious, decisions come naturally to them; indeed, they can hardly rest until they have things settled, decided, and set. Masterminds will adopt ideas only if they are useful, which is to say if they work efficiently toward accomplishing the Mastermind's well-defined goals. Natural leaders, Masterminds are not at all eager to take command of projects or groups, preferring to stay in the background until others demonstrate their inability to lead.
Personal relationships, particularly romantic ones, can be the INTJ's Achilles heel. While they are capable of caring deeply for others (usually a select few), and are willing to spend a great deal of time and effort on a relationship, the knowledge and self-confidence that make them so successful in other areas can suddenly abandon or mislead them in interpersonal situations. This happens in part because many INTJs do not readily grasp the social rituals; for instance, they tend to have little patience and less understanding of such things as small talk and flirtation (which most types consider half the fun of a relationship). To complicate matters, INTJs are usually extremely private people, and can often be naturally impassive as well, which makes them easy to misread and misunderstand. Perhaps the most fundamental problem, however, is that INTJs really want people to make sense.

I find it ammusing that when we took a class on this junior year in high school, about 80% of the class was extroverted. Yet when we look at the responses on an online gaming forum, it's just the opposite.. Most are Introverted. I'm assuming this has some kind of relation..

I on the otherhand am as extroverted as it gets it would appear..

you r my exact opposite... PREPARE TO DIE!!!

EDIT - and nah raeven u arent, i got 100 introvert also

George Smiley, John le Carre's master spy
Clarice Starling (Silence of the Lambs)

I'm an INTJ as well. Otherwise known as a mastermind. :E

I particularly like this quote describing my type:
Natural leaders, Masterminds are not at all eager to take command of projects or groups, preferring to stay in the background until others demonstrate their inability to lead. Once in charge, however, Masterminds are the supreme pragmatists, seeing reality as a crucible for refining their strategies for goal-directed action.
It's scary how well these tests can generalize one's personality sometimes.

This one practically had me crying out, "Yes!":

:) This sometimes results in a peculiar naivete', paralleling that of many Fs -- only instead of expecting inexhaustible affection and empathy from a romantic relationship, the INTJ will expect inexhaustible reasonability and directness.

I really liked that second article on introversion. It's painfully ironic that so many introverts feel alone because they are in fact introverts, and thus don't feel inclined to talk about their introversion with others.

Edit: Wow, Raeven0, I hadn't read the entire thread, but it looks like you quoted the exact same things as me. I guess we really are walking stereotypes...

They don't pinpoint, they generalize. It's like horoscopes.

INTPs are pensive, analytical folks. They may venture so deeply into thought as to seem detached, and often actually are oblivious to the world around them.

Famous INTPs:

Socrates
Rene Descartes
Blaise Pascal
Sir Isaac Newton

U.S. Presidents:
James Madison
John Quincy Adams
John Tyler
Dwight D. Eisenhower
Gerald Ford

William Harvey (pioneer in human physiology)
C. G. Jung, (Freudian defector, author of Psychological Types, etc.)
William James
Albert Einstein
Tom Foley (Speaker of the House--U.S. House of Representatives)
Henri Mancini
Bob Newhart
Jeff Bingaman, U.S. Senator (D.--NM)
Rick Moranis (Honey, I Shrunk The Kids)
Midori Ito (ice skater, Olympic silver medalist)
Tiger Woods
Fictional INTPs

Tom and Fiona (Four Weddings and a Funeral)
Dr. Susan Lewis (ER)
Filburt (Rocko's Modern Life)

(mine didn't say anything about my love life, thats a bad sign isn't it :( )

This test kind of bugged me. I'm very sure it got me wrong, simply because both the options in a lot of questions didn't fit me. I suppose I'm just too erratic for the damned thing.

I felt the same kind of way about it tbh.

While I suppose I do fit into the category of INFP more than any of the others, reading the definition of INFP on the other site had some bits that were spot on, and maybe one or 2 bits that were waaay off.

I think it's because there are some characteristics that the test sees are the complete opposite of one another, like feeling and thinking, so you're either an **F* or an **T*. However it seems to me that someone might come down somewhere in the middle. I did get only 12% for the Feeling part, and I totally disagree with the personality summary that says I have a disdain for logic, so i wonder if I don't more or less fall on the borderline for that section.

Or maybe it just doesn't work very well for misanthropes going through personality crises :dozey:
