Very happy indeed.
My faith in America is restored. A good day for the world.

Yeah, I'm pretty glad. I haven't really followed the race that closely to be really glad/overjoyed, but I'm definately relieved that McCain and, more importantly Palin didn't get in. I don't really know that much about Obama to be truely optimistic yet, but I've seen a video of him stating his policies on Youtube, and it all sounded pretty sound. Everyone else I know seems pretty glad he's in too.

Of course, we won't really know how capable he is until we see how he deals with a full scale zombie uprising.

i love how everyone loves his policies.....anyone hear how he is actually doing any of that? good luck to all with our new president who is to secretive.

I think the reason McCain chose Palin was to avoid an assassination. I mean, who would kill McCain when they knew that the one replacing him was even worse?

I am quite pleased stupid ****er Palin will be shipped back to the frozen wasteland Alaska where she will never threaten civilization again.

a secretive MUSLIM ..who cares what his policies are or how he will implement them ..HE'S BLACK, gets him a free ride as far as I'm concerned ..I'm running out this minute and getting me a pimp hat

Palin scares the shit out of me. She has all the characteristics of a megalomaniac.

She's ignorant. She's stupid. And she's batshit insane.

Bush was only ignorant and stupid. He was never insane, which saved the world from a certain launching of nukes into the planets core to destroy all terrorists.

We may have one the war, but we lost a battle.

Prop 8.

All those people...

Such hardships.

Cautious Optimism. I like many of his policies, but I am nervous about his lack of experience.

Stayed up all night with beers and CNN following it all. Nearly cried during his speech. So yes I'm very happy. Today felt like New Years Day, and the best day for the world in 8 years.

No, a major ****ing disapointment.

That said, lets see what he will do. I think European socialism will follow.

Obama was for tax increases and against tax cuts by 94%.

in b4 requesting link.

Can you imagine Palin being a heartbeat away from the throne?
She believes invading Iraq was "God's Task"

It is scary, yes.

Well at least something went right for once. (obama getting elected and the democrats retaining control)

its not going to affect your every day life either way,if you think it will then you need a shrink.

I need a shrink because I believe Obama will be able to champion positive change in this country?

What do you think Presidents do? Are they just a figurehead to you? Do they not have the capacity to harm or help average citizens with their agendas provided they can push them through?

Millions of Americans have experienced suffering personally and directly, from the decisions and lack of decision made by George W. Bush and his administration. To think otherwise, would be delusional.

EDIT: By the way, you directed that post in reference to me needing a shrink. You put my name in your post, and you changed it. My response is directed at that initial intent.

Oh! Its a beautiful day today. I didn't sleep the last 48hrs, missed two days of work, and I can hardly retain myself at the moment.
It's history all the way around, and I'm lucky to be alive and witness this. :) I'm hysterical that my state (Virginia) went for Obama, we never voted for a Democrat since 1964. lol.
We came to the crossroads everybody in the entire world was speaking of, and fortunately, we took the right turn. ...God Bless America!

My opinion of the matter is reflected in the results of the poll.

yes I did but that crossed the line so I removed your name.

anyway dude how does Obama have any affect on your daily life? granted alto will pay a lil less in taxes but other then that nothing will change eventually Israel will bomb Iran and Obama will support Israel so on foreign plicy in the middle east not much will change.
or are you like that lady on youtube who thinks obama will pay her mortage and gas for her car.

Raz you should watch tonight southpark episode lol

does no one think he won just because hes a talented speaker and.....well he is black; so people think it would be tight that we would have a new race in the white house.......

well blacks are of course very happy about this...the thing is Obama was raised by white grand parents I predict unless someone with a similar background runs for president again this will be our first and last black president.

I'm glad Palin isn't the vice president of an old man that could die soon. On the most important issue for me, monetary policy, McCain, Bush and Obama are exactly the same.

Oops, I seem to have gotten myself lost between general gaming and films again. Silly me.

Anyway, yay!

Even if he doesn't have an effect personally on MY life, doesn't mean he won't have an effect on the lives of a huge percentage of this country.

Unlike the huge percentage of this country, I'm not currently working. I'm not experiencing hardship. I'm not suffering because my loved ones are fighting in Iraq(My cousin was there, but isn't anymore). His enlistment and being shipped out was one of the reasons I changed my views, along with many others.

So the odds that he'll affect my daily life right now is slim, but when I start becoming more responsible for myself like most Americans, the decisions he makes might have a profound impact on me, economically and more. With Obama as president, I'm confident he won't take the flaccid approach of the Bush-Cheney administration and failing to do anything swiftly or adequately. That sort of thing will have a PROFOUND impact on the lives of people, just as so many lives were ruined and lost during Katrina.

There were a little more than half the number of people killed during Katrina as there was during 9/11. And the treatment this domestic disaster got by the Bush administration was atrocious.

I didnt vote because i dont believe in any of this nonsense. But i am glad obama won. Listening to the shit macain said made me really wonder how a man that stupid got that far.
