Who here is religious? Personally, I dont buy into it one bit. It all seems so rediculos. My mom made me go to a church service yesterday, and I was horrified how the people there were just zombies, they would follow the priest off a cliff if he told them that God would love them if they did it. Seems like a cult to me. Anyways, post your opinion!

Well, I understand that some people here aren't religious.
But you guys still have to respect the fact that some people chose a certain lifestyle.
I mean, I'm Chinese, and you'd think I'd be a buddist, but I'm not, my great Grandfather was a paster.
I am christian.
It's like why some people choose a certain profession.

I'm not religious, but for me it's easy to see why people are. Religion teaches values to people, and gives hope. But it's their choice, and I respect that, and if it brings them happiness without hurting others.. then doubly so.

Religious. I normally think of that term to mean, you do something basically out of tradition, (not that i have anything against them but the Catholic church is a good example of this)

However, it could just mean you are Christian etc.

I'm religious in the fact that I believe in God. Maybe not the version of God presented in the bible, but something similar. I don't believe in church or the sacraments or any of that kind of stuff. That's just me though, I understand different people find God in different places.

Yea, atheism is lame, frigging categorizational bastardous system of government, tries to force everyone into a certain set of beliefs so much that they don't realize that its possible to have small differences in beliefs and thus not be the same thing. Aside from that if you ask if I'm religious.. hmm as in I play computer games religiously? Or if your referring to the belief in a god then no I don't... at least not in the Christian sense of a God "I cannot imagine a God who rewards and punishes the objects of his creation, whose purposes are modeled after our own -- a God, in short, who is but a reflection of human frailty. Neither can I believe that the individual survives the death of his body, although feeble souls harbor such thoughts through fear or ridiculous egotisms." =)

The definition of atheist is not believeing in a god, hence if you don't believe in a god your an athiest.

I chose no for the simple fact that I dont 'follow' any particular religion, but that doesnt mean I dont believe in a god.

I'm a baptised christian, have been for 13 years and was an altar boy from the ages 9 to 11 but this doest mean I am a bible basher in any shape or form.

It was a very difficult time in my life (my brother died) and my mothers head was very f'ked up and she found comfort in the church.

I'd say I do believe in 'something', but not what the church wants me to believe for sure $$.

The modern church is run far too much like a corporate company now and I dont think this is the way 'god' intended for it to be personally, which is why so many people nowadays abandon the church.

Overall I think religion is a 'descision' that you think about your whole life and unless you've been conditioned a certain way (al-queda) the events of your life constantly shape your beliefs (such as the deaths of family members, maybe world events)...

I think it would be rather arrogant to not believe theres something out there, but thats what teens & free-will are for arent they
